    He sounds stunned over the radio when he asks what the penalty was for.

    Lando Norris has been handed a 10-second stop-go penalty for failing to slow under yellow flags.

    That is a blow for him, and McLaren.

    Charles Leclerc got an amazing tow down to Turn One and it looked for all the world like he was going to overtake but Lando Norris was late on the brakes to make sure he stayed behind.

  8. Fernando Alonso will, rightly, be sitting with a pretty smug expression on his face as while everyone else is weaving to get heat into their tyres he is pretty toasty on mediums. Alonso is eighth with Carlos Sainz ahead of him.

    What does Max Verstappen do on the restart here, he typically slows the pace right down towards the end of the lap and crawls around and then tries to catch people off guard.

  13. George Russell wasn't happy about being on hard tyres again but he picked off a couple of cars before the safety car and is up into fifth at the moment.

    Breathe everybody, that was a heck of an opening lap after the safety car, what a restart by George Russell. It was defensive driving by Max Verstappen on the limit but I think fair in the end.
