Easy, solid defending from Derry. Galway really struggling to penetrate that scoring area. The2 played out and around the perimeter but at no stage did they manage to get into that scoring zone.

They'll be very disappointed in their first two attacks. On the other side, Derry will be happy with how they manged to keep Galway's key dangers out of the game.

    Galway 0-0 Derry 0-1

    Michael Murphy

Galway are really struggling to break Derry down. The only real way they could see a way through was through kicking.

They tried [Damien] Comer once, they got it in there on one occasion but nothing came off it. They tried him again.

From Derry in that regard it was a success that they managed to keep Galway's running game out to begin with.

    Galway v Derry (17:30 BST)

    Paddy Andrews
    Former Dublin forward on GAAGO

    What about midfield today?

[Brendan] Rogers and [Conor] Glass have been rightly lauded as one of the top mid-field partnerships in the country. They were out played against Donegal. Donegal went to town on them.

They're here today and they have Paul Conroy and Johnny Maher.

The midfield battle is going to be so critical, before we even get into the kick-outs!

    Galway v Derry (17:30 BST)

    Michael Murphy
Former Donegal captain and All-Ireland winner on GAAGO

The strength of this Derry team over the last number of years is looking at the opposition strength and absolutely going after that with all.

They'll look at [Damien] Comer and [Shane] Walsh and say 'right, we'll try and take the two of them out it and Rob Finnerty, do you have enough to try and go beat us?

I suppose this is the question Derry will ask.
