Silverstone is one of the fastest tracks on the F1 calendar.

The 52-lap race includes 18 high and low speed corners around the circuit which is 5.891km long.

The track has changed over the years since its debut in 1950, but remains an iconic track to this date.

The famous corners such as Abbey, Copse, Maggotts and Becketts provide challenges for the drivers.

Between Turns 18 and One is the Hamilton straight, where drivers will speed down to the finish line. This part of the track was renamed in 2020 to honour British driver Lewis Hamilton.

"Mate, this brake bias is ****. This offset, it's like a handbrake!"

Charles Leclerc is back out on the track and he is on rain watch, he has just been on the radio to his engineer to give him an update.

"A bit of rain in Turn Nine but nothing too big"

Alex Albon was on a fast lap when he came across a slow Aston Martin of Lance Stroll close to the race line.

"What was that?" he tells his engineer.

Meanwhile, Max Verstappen has been on the radio to tell his engineer about his brakes.

It's an exciting weekend for rookie Ollie Bearman, it is his first British Grand Prix weekend in Formula 1.

The Brit told BBC Look East that Silverstone holds "a special place in my heart".

"Silverstone has so many highlights, the qualifying especially given it is such a fast track. I am excited to go for the first time myself," he added.

It will be a action-packed weekend for the Bearman family as Ollie's younger brother Thomas will race for the British F4 at Silverstone on Saturday.

Ollie Bearman has just put his Haas up into the sixth spot on the medium tyres.

I hope the British rookie can pick up points at his first home race - how special would that be for him?

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc is the fastest car out on track. It looks like the upgrades brought by the team have been working.

His team-mate Lewis Hamilton has just gone purple in the first sector.

The clouds are still looking grey and angry.

Oscar Piastri's lead in the drivers' championship has been cut to 15 points after team-mate Lando Norris won last time out in Austria.

Max Verstappen is in third spot but George Russell is just nine points behind the Red Bull driver.

Sauber's Nico Hulkenberg moved up to 10th spot after picking up points at the Red Bull Ring.

Lots of flow-vis paint on the right side of Oscar Piastri's front wing.

I love it when the neon paint comes out.

The way the flow-vis paint runs helps the engineers in McLaren understand the aerodynamics around the car.

Can the papaya man keep his lead in the championship?

Oh dear, Lance Stroll's Aston Martin was making its way around the track when he went a little too wide.

All good for the Canadian driver as he manages to catch it and carry on with his drive.

Max Verstappen had some issues with his car on Friday, it looks like they might have been resolved as the four-time world champion puts his car into the second spot.

Meanwhile, Ollie Bearman has joined the track for his first home race in F1.

Which tyres have Pirelli picked out for the British Grand Prix?

The C2 hard tyres, C3 mediums and C4 soft compounds have been selected for Silverstone.

Should they be needed, the green intermediates and blue full wets are also available.

I can hear the roars of engines, that means one thing - more cars out on track.

Drivers have left the pit lane and are on their out-laps.

Sauber have been showing form again and have made some progress so that has probably surprised Alpine.

They will have been quite strong in the early part of the season.

So much to play for in the middle to back end of the constructors’ championship.

Fans have their little umbrella hats on, I can't see any ponchos so maybe the rain hasn't arrived at Silverstone just yet.
