Marie Hobinger then latches onto another West Ham clearance, firing a shot inches over the crossbar.

Ruby Mace whacks the ball into the stands at the King Power Stadium to stamp out an Arsenal attack and hand the visitors a corner.

It's played short before Beth Mead lofts the ball to the far post for Alessia Russo, who finds the side netting - causing some Arsenal fans to cheer before they realise it's gone wide.

Everton get the play under way as they search for an equaliser.

A good first attack of the game for Liverpool.

A positive start for Leicester with some nice link-up play between Missy Goodwin and Nicole Momiki down the left.

Nothing comes of their attack, but they're keeping hold of the ball and piling the pressure on early.

We're just getting under way in our two 3pm kick-offs at Leicester and West Ham.

The first half is done and dusted on Merseyside with Manchester United leading by a Grace Clinton goal in the fourth minute.

United failed to press on as Everton continue to search for a way back into the match.

Much better from Manchester United at the end of the first half as they start to take care of the ball much better.

Ella Toone picks up the ball in a dangerous position on the edge of the box but her lofted through ball drops into the arms of Courtney Brosnan.

Brighton boss Dario Vidosic speaking to BBC Two: "Disappointed but also encouraged. There was some really good stuff that we have been working on and to be able to apply that against not just one of the best teams in England but in the world is encouraging.

"We knew that we would be times where we woudl have to defend but we limited their chances. We lacked a bit of structure for the goal, a little bit of positioning was wrong so that was our undoing. We know the qualities they possess and they took the chance.

"Some positive things, some things we have to learn from. Disappointed to lose but encouraged for what's ahead."

Manchester City's Lauren Hemp speaking to BBC Two alongside Yui Hasegawa: "It was really tough. I thought Brighton were fantastic. We knew it wasn't going to be any easy game, I thought we dealt with it really well, defensively really solid, kept a clean sheet - what we wanted, worked hard going forward, had a lot of chances maybe on a different day we could have converted, I’m really proud of the squad today.”

On Hasegawa: “Oh yeah she's fantastic week in week out - top performances. I feel like sometimes it goes unnoticed but I think the whole of the team really appreciate it, all the hard work, yeah she's a fantastic player.”

“They've clicked really well. I think connections are still forming, we’ve got players who can come on and make a difference, I think we've got a great squad at the moment and yeah we wanna push on from here, exciting games coming up but it was important for us today to get the win and that's what we've done.”
