    Another Para-cycling gold is up for grabs at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome from 16:10 BST in the men's tandem 1000m time trial for blind and visually impaired athletes.

    The favourite will be Scotland's Neil Fachie who will be partnered by Craig Maclean, a former team-mate of the man who the venue is named after and one of only a couple of athletes to have won both Olympic and Paralympic medals.

    Fachie is a former sprinter who switched to the bike in 2009 and won Paralympic gold in the event with Barney Storey in London and World gold earlier this year with England's Pete Mitchell.

    Double Commonwealth gold medallist Nick Matthew, speaking on BBC One: "The beauty of squash is that it challenges everything. You have to be aerobically and mentally strong, and ultimately it comes down to whether you want it more than your opponent.

    Like most people who get whacked in the face for a living, England's Scott Fitzgerald is a confident chap.

    The welterweight eased into the last 16 by beating Ron Bastien of St Lucia and is now eyeing up the gold medal. He faces Ghana's Azumah Mohammed on Monday.

    "Fred Evans was probably the favourite, so now there is definitely a good chance for me. I'll be flying for my next one and hopefully will go really far."

    Wales' Evans missed out on a place at this summer's Games after being refused accreditation.

    At the halfway stage of the individual all-around final in the rhythmic gymnastics competition, the new leader is Canada's team gold medallist Patricia Bezzoubenko, who recovered from a disappointing hoop routine to score an impressive 15.200 in the ball rotation for an overall score of 29.375.

    Wales pair Laura Halford and Frankie Jones are second and third on 28.475 and 28.450 respectively and will be hoping to stay in touch for a medal in the club rotation, which comes next.

    Earlier we asked you what's been the best moment of the Commonwealth Games so far and it seems Ross Murdoch's heroics in the pool have earned him another accolade.

    The gold-winning Scot's tremendous triumph in the 200m breaststroke took 36.7% of the vote, with Alistair Brownlee's triathlon gold taking second on 25.5% and Hannah Miley's gold and record-breaking swim earning her third place, with 11.4%. Thanks for voting.
