"I've always wanted a Commonwealth Games title so to clinch it, wow," says Hahn. "I'm just so happy to be here. The key thing is to be consistent."

Scotland's Eilidh Doyle, who has just picked up her third consecutive Commonwealth Games silver medal in the women's 400m hurdles final, tells BBC Sport: "That meant so much to me, I knew this would be the hardest Games to win a medal.

"I'm absolutely delighted to come away with a medal. I had to focus on my own race and execute the right stride pattern. It was a nice clean race. I've got a really good team around me, they have been brilliant."

    Hockey: Women's semi-final: England 0-0 New Zealand

It remains goalless in England's semi-final with New Zealand at the end of the third quarter but they have had plenty of chances to break the deadlock.

A number of wasted penalty corners will cause some frustration but there is still a final quarter left to play and England will feel confident of making it through to the final.

New Zealand were frustrated by an umpiring decision at the end of that last quarter and have had chances of their own.

These two teams were only separated by a shootout four years ago so we could be in for some drama...

Olivia Breen celebrates Gold Coast victory

Wales have equalled their record medal total for an overseas Commonwealth Games following athletics and wrestling success on day eight.

Wrestler Curtis Dodge won bronze in the men's 74kg freestyle before Olivia Breen took bronze in the women's T38 100m.

Wales have won seven golds, eight silver and 10 bronze medals.

This matched the 25-medal haul in Auckland in 1990.

There are four more medals guaranteed in boxing which will ensure Wales go home with their highest tally achieved for an overseas Games.

The record number of Welsh golds - 10 - was also in New Zealand in 1990, while the highest haul of 36 medals was achieved in Glasgow in 2014.

Jack Laugher is STORMING this final! The 23-year-old is desperate to land the title which he agonisingly missed out on at Glasgow 2014.

He has a massive lead but he may not be the only home nation diving medallist tonight because 20-year-old Ross Haslam is in fourth.

Haslam only made his senior international debut at the World Championships last year and was in medal contention in the 1m yesterday before a couple of late slips saw him drop down the standings.

Many thought that would have been the end of his chances but so far he’s putting on the performance of his life here.

England's Jack Green has just missed out on a medal by two hundredths of a second, but there is no bitterness or anger in his quotes.

It was fourth for Green, who took time away from the sport in 2013 as he battled depression, in the final of the men's 400m hurdles on the Gold Coast.

He says: "It was a good run, everyone wants to come here and do well. I am in a good place, I have a fantastic coach and a very supportive group.

"A happy athlete is a fast one. It is just nice being back, being fit and healthy. I am very lucky to do what I do. At the end of the day I run for a living which is a joke in itself
