England face New Zealand here at sunny Edgbaston and it's all to play for in their final group match.

Both sides have won their first two games and know the winner of this match will avoid the mighty Australia in the semi-finals.

Gives the match a nice little extra edge.

The Black Ferns have won the toss and will bat first.

They are not scoring five more in 80 seconds. It's not going to happen. It comes down to penalty corners for me. England have had 19 and scored four. The top teams would have scored more than that. They have to be more consistent from the top of the circle. Had they done that it would have put them within touching distance.

England's Mark Swan has claimed a silver medal in men's lightweight final!

He finishes on a total of 145.5 points after lifting 202kg on his third and final attempt.

Paralympic and two-time world champion Bonnie Bunyau Gustin of Malaysia wins gold with a Games record points haul of 154.6, while Nigeria's Innocent Nnamdi is awarded the bronze medal over team-mate Thomas Kure, despite the pair finishing on the same points tally of 132.5.

In the end, Nnamdi is handed bronze due to his successful press of 190kg, compared to Kure's 180kg.

    So, no lift-off. Shame.

So Northern Ireland are guaranteed 14 medals already, one shy of their all-time Commonwealth Games record which was achieved at Edinburgh 1986.

Tonight two boxers can secure medals with wins in the quarter-finals, and in doing so make Team NI's class of 2022 the most successful to have ever competed at a Games.

Over to you, Clepson dos Santos and Amy Broadhurst.

World champion Broadhurst is heavily fancied in her quarter-final at around 19:30 BST, but before that it's the youngest member of Team NI's boxing squad.

Belfast light-flyweight Dos Santos, 18, is up against Wales' Jake Dodd in the opening bout of the evening session.

Unfortunately, I can't see England creating enough now. They are running out of time. The second Canada goal wipes out any opportunity they had.

Scotland's Gemma McArthur will be in action in the women's 10m platform final at 19:29 BST this evening. Here's what she had to say when she spoke to BBC Sport after coming through qualifying:

"I'm pretty pleased, in the preliminaries it's all about making it through steadily.

"I'm pleased with how it went, no major drops, nothing too amazing but hopefully I can take it up again in the final.

"Everything was quite consistent today, I'm hoping to keep that going and then level it up into the final."

I never thought I would say this in commentary - the objective for England is a goal a minute.

Are India watching this? Are they starting to get a bit nervous. They did all they could do to avoid England.
