We are in the fourth end of the Para mixed pairs B2/B3 - gold-medal match between Scotland and Wales, with Wales holding a narrow 3-2 lead.

Remember, whatever happens we will be seeing a new record for the oldest gold medallist - either Scot George Miller or Welshman Gordon Llewellyn - who are both 75.

Miller is the director for visually-impaired bowler Melanie Inness and they play with Robert Barr and his director Sarah Jane Ewing.

Meanwhile, Llewellyn and his director John Wilson play with Julie Thomas and her director Mark Adams.

Why has the partnership worked so well?

Jack Laugher: "We're really good fiends and we've got a lot in common. I think our diving styles are very similar.

"Tony is talking about me selecting him - he deserves this. He's a great athlete and he's finally got his chance and he's really grabbed a hold of it, and that's something I need in my career - someone with motivation and drive to want to be the best and keep my fire ignited.

I've been doing this for a long time and having someone new on the scene, raring to go, I think it's really good and I think the synchro partnership is obviously great and we've done some amazing performances this year and I just can't wait for the future."

Anthony Harding: "It means everything but this is only the start. This is only our second international. A pretty good score but a PB in the Worlds so I'm hoping we can do better things."

"I felt I was ok. I think I could have been better. My performance was ok but I've had a tough last few years watching him in Tokyo, Rio, even in London.

"Finally thanking him really for selecting me as a syncro partner is an amazing feeling."

"This is my second international in like two or three years. The 3m men's in Great Britain is so hard, it's so tough to get in the big stage and I've worked so hard.

"I've had to be patient, I've had to wait for it, really. It's thanks to Jack for seeing me in training, seeing how good I can be and trusting in me and believing in me."

It's much tighter in the second game between Ben Lane and Sean Vendy of England and Canadian duo Adam Dong and Nyl Yakura.

The English pair won the first game 21-13, but since we've restarted it's been very even with the scores currently 12-12 in the second game. Who will blink first?

England's Jack Laugher and Anthony Harding spoke to BBC Sport's Katherine Downes following their 3m springboard gold medal a short while ago.

First up, here's Jack Laugher, who defended his 1m springboard title yesterday:

"Obviously two golds is amazing. I think what me and Tony wanted to take from this was that we wanted to get another good performance under our belt. Certainly Tony achieved that. I've still got some things to improve on.

"I had a really bad night's sleep last night so I'm not feeling myself today. To say that I had a couple of hours sleep and then to go out there and perform some of the hardest dives in the world alongside a great syncro partner was obviously pretty good.

"I just couldn't sleep. I ate really late last night and I think obviously the excitement and the buzz around doing so well on the 1m made it difficult to get to sleep and you get in that cycle of 'I need to sleep because I'm up early in the morning'. Hopefully I'll be able to sleep better tonight for the 3m tomorrow."

Half-time in the netball over at the NEC and after a very tight opening quarter which finished level at 10 apiece Scotland have started to draw out a bit of a lead.

Scotland's Beth Goodwin and Niamh McCall are combining well in the shooting circle and their defensive end managed to hold Northern Ireland to just six goals in the second quarter.

Northern Ireland will need to cut out the mistakes if they're to get back into this game but, if they can, as we saw in yesterday's matches, six goals is not a big margin in netball.

Can Abigail Irozuru join Lorraine Ugen and Jazmin Sawyers in Sunday's final?

Oh my, that's close! A relived Irozuru raises her arms to the sky as she's given the green light, and a season-best jump of 6.59m is confirmed. That will be enough for the final. Phew.

Nailed it. Jazmin Sawyers, having played it safe to get a jump on the board with her second attempt, joins Lorraine Ugen in the final with a leap of 6.80m.

She flew! Excellent jump.

The pressure is on England's Abigail Irozuru in her final jump after she also fouls with her second attempt.

Can compatriot Lorraine Ugen avoid doing the same?

She can! That's behind the board and it'll be more than enough. It's 6.79m and a place in the final.

Ben Lane and Sean Vendy of England have blown away Canadian duo Adam Dong and Nyl Yakura in the opening game of their last 16 match.

The third seeds cruised to the first game 21-13 and are eyeing up an early finish.

Northern Ireland's Sophie Earley was so close to victory over Canada's Mo Zhang but lost the seventh game and misses out on a quarter-final spot.

Liam Pitchford and Paul Drinkhall of England will also go in the quarter-finals of the men's doubles after beating the Barbados pair in straight games.

Jazmin Sawyers gets on the board with a 6.53m second jump. She plays it safe after her opening foul, with a lot of room to work with on her final attempt.

Nigeria's Ese Brume joins Ghanaian Deborah Acquah in achieving the automatic qualification distance, as does Australia's Brooke Buschkuehl.

Ghana's Deborah Acquah is the first to secure automatic qualification for the women's long jump final, producing a big 6.85m leap to get the job done on her first attempt.

English trio Lorraine Ugen, Jazmin Sawyers and Abigail Irozuru are unable to post a mark with their opening jumps.

It's Kenya, India and then Trinidad and Tobago who clinch places in the final.

Barbados finish fourth to qualify too and Nigeria will also make it through from heat one.

The Commonwealth Games will today crown a new oldest gold medallist just two days after Dumfries pensioner Rosemary Lenton was given the honour after she helped Scotland secure the Para women's pairs bowls title at the age of 72.

However, either Scot George Miller or Welshman Gordon Llewellyn - who are both 75 - will take her title in the mixed Para pairs B2/B3 gold medal match at 12:00 BST.

Miller, who was born in November 1946, is the director for visually-impaired bowler Melanie Inness and has already broken the record for the oldest Scot to compete at Commonwealths.

They play with Robert Barr and his director Sarah Jane Ewing, and they easily saw off England in the semis 21-6. Llewellyn was born in April 1947. He and his director John Wilson play with Julie Thomas and her director Mark Adams. They beat Australia 13-10 in their semi-final.

Laugher and Harding are a new pairing coming together this year of that incredible performance in Budapest a month ago, and they were utterly dominant today.

Scotland's Ross Beattie and James Heatly miss out on a medal as their sixth dive gets them 71.4, but that's only enough for fourth.

Silver goes to Malaysia's Gabriel Gilbert Daim and Muhammad Syafiq Bin Puteh, with Australia's Samuel Fricker and Shixin Li taking the bronze.

England take the gold though, by a margin of 61.56.

The second of the men's 4x400 relay heats are under way and it's a real battle for the automatic top-three places.

Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Kenya and India can't be separated for the time being.

A foul for Jazmin Sawyers with her first attempt at making that 6.75m qualification mark.

It is the most difficult dive possible from the 3m - it wasn't even that good with both divers finishing short of vertical but what I liked is they come in with such a difficult list.
