The two Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are the first two cars out on track in Q2. The pair are on the soft compound and Leclerc is the quicker of the two with a 1:11.665. Sainz is finding his Scuderia a handful and mumbles something over the team radio.
Over at Red Bull, Max Verstappen is asking about the weather. "Still rain in the air," says the Dutchman. "That's correct," replies his race engineer.

The Ferrari of Carlos Sainz could be a shock elimination. Time is running out for the Spaniard but with the track improving, the Ferrari man shoots all the way to the top of the timesheets.

Carlos Sainz is just dangling above the drop zone at the moment in 15th place with a time of 1:12.223, which is 0.120 seconds quicker than Daniel Ricciardo's time in 16th spot.

Sergio Perez is annoyed on the Red Bull team radio, as the Mexican feels he was impeded by the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time world champion, however, reckons he was "well out of the way".
Meanwhile, George Russell says the "front is sliding massively" and he has "no grip".

Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris are the two quickest cars out on track in Q1 so far and now the British pair are joined by the Red Bull of Max Verstappen.
The times between the top four - McLaren's Oscar Piastri is also in the mix - are so tight. Hamilton is just is just 0.166 seconds faster than the Australian driver.
