WSL Highlights Manchester City 2-4 Manchester United: Watch Ella Toone's hat-trick

Derby days - you wait months for one and then two come along at once.

Ella Toone scored a hat-trick as United triumphed 4-2 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, though the game will be remembered more for mistakes than quality.

A risky pass by City goalkeeper Khiara Keating was intercepted and slotted away by Toone to put United 3-0 up after 36 minutes, yet the hosts managed to pull two goals back before half-time.

Toone was then presented with an open goal seconds into the second half to complete her hat-trick when Keating's attempted clearance was charged down.

Victory saw United leapfrog City into third place in the WSL table and extend their winning run to five games in all competitions.

  10. Can Bompastor break the curse?published at 18:33 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January

    Chelsea v Durham (18:45 GMT)

While Chelsea have conquered all before them in the Women's Super League in the past six years, they have found the League Cup a much tougher nut to crack.

Their last win in this competition came back in 2021, when they beat Bristol City 6-0 in the final.

The Blues have reached the final in each of the three years since that triumph, but have finished runners up in all of them.
