At least Chelsea are a club with a consistent approach for both men and women. Bulldozer your way to success. Just a shame to see the WSL is going exactly the same as the premier league as others strive to catch up.

    Brighton 0-0 Arsenal

Frenetic is the word to describe the opening 40 minutes here.

Arsenal have had the best of the chances, with Alessia Russo and Kyra Cooney-Cross bringing saves out of Melina Loeck, but Brighton have enjoyed their share of possession and look particularly threatening whenever Kiko Seike is on the ball.

What a finish from Lily Murphy. It's her second in City colours and at just 18, in just her 12th appearance she's really taken this game by the scruff of the neck.

From a United perspective it's frustration on both goals, Tullis-Joyce will have felt she could have got more on Murphy's effort as will Mannion to have stopped Murphy's cross for the opener.

Having had little input into this game but level on 45:59, they are back to being a goal behind.

That's half-time. It's been an interesting first half, much less chaotic than Sunday's game at the Etihad Stadium, and Lily Murphy's superb strike gives City a narrow advantage at the break. That sets the second half up rather nicely!

Well, United have offered very little but it's emphatic from Millie Turner. Sometimes you need your leaders to step up and she has delivered. It's against the run of play and as the temperature drops, just to remind you'll have a winner tonight, even if it's penalties!
