The two McLarens are getting closer and closer to each other but Oscar Piastri is keeping his (slightly) older team-mate at bay. The Australian stays in second spot as the two complete their latest lap.

Oscar Piastri should be looking in his mirrors, as his McLaren buddy is hunting him down with every lap. Max Verstappen, meanwhile, is over two seconds up the road.

Lando Norris has his papaya team-mate in his sights in order to claim back the second place he started this shorter 100km race in.

The two Alpines are out of the points in this sprint but that's isn't stopping Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly grappling over 11th spot. Ocon is trying to shut out his team-mate but Gasly is still hanging onto to his rear wing.

The gap between Max Verstappen in first and second-placed Oscar Piastri is growing...

The top eight at the moment are Max Verstappen, Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris, George Russell, Carlos Sainz, Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez.

Looking at how many battles are out there on track but some of their tyres are really going to be hanging on at the end of this race, and other people who haven’t fought through the race as much might have a chance.

The front of the pack are separated by 1.302 seconds as Max Verstappen delights the home crowd in the Red Bull. Oscar Piastri has lost the DRS to the Dutchman and is trying to make up ground in his McLaren.

Carlos Sainz is looking to close down George Russell after losing position to the Mercedes but this is helping Lewis Hamilton inch ever closer to the Spaniard.

So, Max Verstappen leads, Oscar Piastri is second and Lando Norris sits third.

The Mercedes looks quick and Carlos Sainz finds out just how pacy it is as George Russell sails through on the Ferrari with the help of DRS. Russell is up to fourth, Sainz goes down to fifth, but is still on the Silver Arrow's tail.

Max Verstapen says he is "clipping way too much" but the Red Bull is 0.801 seconds ahead of Oscar Piastri in the McLaren. The fastest lap goes to Lando Norris, who is trying to make up ground after the excitement of the previous lap.

It is still Verstappen in the lead but they’ve changed places three times.

Lando Norris is now being hounded by fourth-placed Carlos Sainz. The baton has been passed to his McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri to hunt down Max Verstappen.

Max Verstappen is holding firm in first place but here comes Lando Norris at the top of the hill. The McLaren sees his point and overtakes the Red Bull! Norris leads but Verstappen is back in front by the next corner. And now Norris has lost position to his team-mate Oscar Piastri!

Norris has closed the gap in the last gap. From Verstappen’s point of view he needs to build that DRS buffer but he hasn’t got it.

Lando Norris has a bit of a slipstream in his bid to overtake Max Verstappen. The Briton eyes his mark at Turn Four but the Dutchman closes the door quickly.

The two McLarens are closing in on the Red Bull of Max Verstappen. Lando Norris is the closer of the two and is hustling the three-time world champion at every corner.

Sergio Perez has dropped down to eighth place as Kevin Magnussen in his Haas has lifted himself up into the top 10 into ninth spot. Max Verstappen is leading the way, half a second clear of the McLaren of Lando Norris.

Max Verstappen has zoomed off the line and is away from the challenge of the two McLarens. Lando Norris is under pressure from his team-mate Oscar Piastri in third but the Briton stays ahead. Charles Leclerc is up to seventh spot from tenth.
