BBC Monitoring's Vikas Pandey: "Chacha Cricket (11 overs) may be missing in Adelaide, but his Indian counterpart Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary can certainly be seen in his well-known painted avatar.

"He is known for painting his body in the colours of the Indian flag and travelling around the world to support India."

  2. South Africa beat Zimbabwe by 62 runspublished at 09:01 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

South Africa's David Miller, who rescued his side with 138 off 92 balls: "I just needed to construct a partnership with someone, and JP Duminy was the man today. It was tough up front and a bit slow initially, but it definitely eased up towards the end.

"JP and I kept encouraging each other along the way and we knew how important this partnership was to the team. There are a lot of positives I can take in how I constructed this innings, especially when rotating the strike with the spinners on. I've been working hard on that part of my game."

Part-time off-spin from Suresh Raina now as MS Dhoni tries to sneak through a couple of cheeky overs. Some half-trackers are belted into the outfield for ones and twos. Six from the over.

Anyone seen the famous Pakistani cricket fan Sufi Abdul Jalil - known to his mates as Chacha Cricket - in the Adelaide Oval today? I just did a quick internet search, and his occupation is described as 'cricket fan and entertainer'. Wow... I want that job title. The stats say that, at this stage, India were a couple of runs better off. But only a couple. Mohit Sharma's latest over goes for just one.

"The opening India bowlers have bowled a good length. It's been very disciplined and I know there's a long way to go, but so far they've done quite well."

  8. Pak 46-1 (Shehzad 10, Haris 23)published at 08:48 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

India appear to be wise to Haris Sohail's tendency for classical cover drives because they've packed four fielders into an arc within the circle. Both the left-hander and his right-handed opening partner refuse to go aerial for now and milk a couple of singles into gaps.

"Pakistan don't need dashers at this stage, they need control. I thought Shikhar Dhawan composed himself really well with his innings earlier. He controlled his natural game to ensure he laid a platform for India's innings."

  11. Pak 44-1 (target 301)published at 08:44 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

Pakistan are looking fairly composed early on, taking their time and laying a platform for their big hitters. Just a single in the over.

  13. South Africa beat Zimbabwe by 62 runspublished at 08:41 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

All over in Hamilton! Zimbabwe huffed and puffed in a credible display, but ultimately South Africa's quality with both bat and ball shone through.

Unfancied Zimbabwe had their illustrious opponents rattled at 83-4, before David Miller (138*) and JP Duminy (115*) shared a record fifth-wicket stand of 256 in a total of 339-4.

Zimbabwe made an encouraging start to their chase through Chamu Chibhabha and Hamilton Masakadza, who took them to 137-1. However, they ran out of steam and lost a flurry of wickets in the final 15 overs.

  14. Pak 44-1 (required run-rate: 6.11)published at 08:40 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

What is it about left-handed batsmen? They tend to be far more elegant than their right-handed equivalents, don't they? Haris Sohail is playing some stonking drives through the off side. Ahmed Shehzad gets in on the act too, hooking Mo Shami for four. That seems to impress a fella dressed as the Incredible Hulk in the crowd. Or is it the real David Banner? We'll never know underneath that mask.

  16. Pak 39-1 (Shehzad 6, Haris 21)published at 08:35 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

There are some wholehearted bowlers in this India line-up. Mohit Sharma is in the mould of Mo Shami as he bursts to the crease and, front on, delivers a heavy ball. The right-arm paceman, who is playing only his 13th ODI, begins with a no-ball and the subsequent free hit is unceremoniously smashed for two by Haris Sohail, who ends the over with a silky cover drive which brings another couple.

"Pakistan kept themselves in the contest by restricting India to 5-27 off the last five overs of their innings. That certainly got their tales up and has shown in the positive start they've made in this run chase."

  18. Pak 34-1 (target 301)published at 08:30 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

There's a lot to like about Haris Sohail. Standing upright and back in his crease, he is middling some gorgeous strokes through the off side. He has a very classical technique. Mo Shami is steaming in from round the wicket and he is getting the white ball to nip past the outside edge every now and again. And there's drama at the end of the over when a mix up in the field prevents Sohail being run out. Six from the over.

  19. More what you may have missed...published at 08:30 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

In Hamilton, South Africa are closing in on victory over Zimbabwe, although it's not been as straightforward as you might think.

David Miller's unbeaten 138 off 92 balls and JP Duminy's 115 not out - in an ODI fifth-wicket record stand of 256 - propelled the Proteas to 339-4. Zimbabwe were 191-2 before Hamilton Masakadza's departure for 80 signalled the beginning of the end of their hopes.

Just woken up? Heavy night? Let us fill you in...

Pakistan have just set about chasing 301 to beat India in the World Cup for the first time.

The defending champions' 301-7 in Adelaide featured a measured 107 from Virat Kohli, a rather more explosive 74 from Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan's occasionally dashing 73. Sohail Khan took 5-55 as Pakistan restricted India brilliantly late on.
