Gp_chaii: Zimbabwe doing a fantastic job of chasing that at the moment.... or at least better than what England did yesterday.

  3. Ind 279-3 (Raina 72, Dhoni 6)published at 07:04 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

It is MS Dhoni who comes in as the new man as Geoffrey wishes. He opens up with a dismissive drive for four, drilled through the covers in emphatic fashion. This could be an explosive end to the innings.

"I think Sohail has modelled his action and even his celebration, with the aeroplane, on the Rawalpindi Express - Shoaib Akhtar. It's been a fine innings, now India should send in MS Dhoni. The way he has handled the captaincy, he has been a massive asset to India. He keeps a calm exterior always."

Big swing from Kohli as he looks to clear the ropes and an outside edge through to the keeper. A fantastic innings comes to an end. He made 107 from 126 balls, including eight fours.

"The Barmy Army think they like a song, but they've got nothing on the India fans. There's no choreography, no co-ordination, just pockets of supporters doing their own thing. You think you're in the best spot, but then see something else that looks more fun, like being at a house party and not knowing which room to stay in."

  7. Ind 273-2 (Kohli 107, Raina 72)published at 06:59 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

Mohammad Irfan gets punished here by Kohli and Raina and also sends down a couple of full tosses. The second is a beamer, a long way over Raina's head - and he gets no-balled and warned by both umpires. That's another warning on top of the two he's already had for running on the pitch.

What have you missed in this game? A run-fest actually. Virat Kohli's century has underpinned India's onslaught, with Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina also scoring fifties. Only Rohit Sharma (15) has missed out.

BBC Monitoring's Vikas Pandey: Can Kohli take India past 300? This question seems to be dominating much of the ongoing banter on Twitter and TV studios. Indians are banking on Kohli's past record and Pakistanis on their bowlers' ability to be accurate in the dying overs. Several TV anchors on both sides of the border are looking as animated as a regular fan on the street! There is something about India vs Pakistan that gets everybody involved - from celebrities to politicians to TV anchors!

"I've enjoyed it but in some ways it's been a bit muted and a bit too easy for the Indian batsmen. They've not been pushed. I don't know if that's to do with the pitch or Pakistan's bowling attack."

  12. Ind 259-2 (14 off the over)published at 06:52 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

It's a run-fest now in Adelaide. Sohail Khan is back on to bowl and first up there's huge appeal from the Pakistan fielders for a catch behind against Raina. They go for the review, but it shows absolutely no hint of bat on snicko, just a flick of his trousers. A rank legside half-volley gets flicked for four and then Raina crashes one back past the bowler for another boundary. Not content with that, he sends another flick off his legs away to the long leg fence.

  13. South Africa v Zimbabwepublished at 06:49 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

Zimbabwe batsman Hamilton Masakadza thumps a short delivery back over the head of Dale Steyn and over the boundary for six. What a way to reach your fifty! Steyn smiles - but you can bet your bottom dollar he didn't find that funny. Or that he concedes another six in that over.

Masakadza follows his wingman Chamu Chibhabha in passing 50 as the Zimbabwe pair go on the attack. They are brimming with confidence as they also bring up the 100 partnership. How long can they go on for?

  15. Ind 245-2 (Kohli 101, Raina 51)published at 06:44 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

Suresh Raina tucks in to Afridi's bowling after the celebrations for Kohli's hundred. He smashes his third six over square leg and then brings up his 50 off just 40 balls, which includes one four and three sixes.
