Tredwell looks to tempt young Blackwood into a rash shot, trying to reel him inn. But Blackwood's not taking the bait this time. Maiden over, Tredwell has figures of 10-4-16-1.
We have another 25 overs left to bowl today, in 70 regulation minutes plus an extra half-hour. Blackwood takes a bit of a wild swipe at Anderson, the ball sails into the air - safely - over deep extra cover and they run one. Geoffrey on TMS is predictably muttering about whether the youngster has any shots other than a slog over mid-off while Chanderpaul - who knows how to bat properly at 100-4 - sees off the rest of the over.
Joanthan: Every time I've turned over to check the WI innings score a wicket has been taken.

Bowling figures: Anderson 11-8-15-1, Broad 12-0-38-0, Jordan 6-1-21-1, Stokes 4-0-18-0, Tredwell 9-3-16-1

West Indies won toss
How long before the pressure gets to Jermaine Blackwood and he has a dart? Just a single for now takes West Indies off 105, where they'd been stuck for a while - and Chanderpaul adds a two. But that means Blackwood will face Anderson for the very first time...
Wyndham Hacket Pain: Chris Jordan must be the most enthusiastic high-fiver I have ever seen!
Tredwell takes his place in the slip cordon as Anderson starts his 11th over. There's not much movement from a ball which is now 40 overs old, and we have a third successive maiden over. Indeed, eight of Anderson's 11 overs have been maidens - a captain's dream. Meanwhile, Chickie's Disco plays the cricket anthem "Rally Round The West Indies" between overs.

On Twitter:, external Chanderpaul will be playing for West Indies in 10 years' time, taking his guard behind the stumps, bat pointed towards fine leg.
Slip, short leg, silly mid-off in place for Blackwood, will he attack Tredwell again? Not this over, he carefully plays each ball on its merits. Maiden.

"England don't have to do anything different. It's West Indies who will feel the stress of the situation. I think they're hoping for a draw anyway."
Jack Lennon-French: Seeing as it's working for everyone else... I bet Jennifer Lawrence will never ask me on a date the same day I win the lottery.
Broad off after a good four-over spell, and James Anderson - now only two behind Sir Ian Botham's Test wicket haul - returns to attack the left-handed Chanderpaul, so often West Indies' rock over the last decade or so. For now, Chanderpaul hangs on, surviving a probing maiden over.

"This is the way he plays. He's a dasher."

Jermaine Blackwood is the new batsman, not a face familiar to England fans as he's only played five Tests before today. Clearly not a man to hang around, the young Jamaican lofts his second ball for six over extra cover! Does he think it's a T20 game? West Indies are into three figures, in any event.
Geoffrey Boycott
Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special
"I was just about to say West Indies are playing into England's hands. England blocked up a lot of scoring shots and were squeezing the pressure. If you put this West Indies team under pressure, you know they're going to fold on a lot of occasions. They're open now,. If a couple more go down, they're going to get bowled out cheaply."
Tredders strikes! Brathwaite's vigil is ended as he edges and Chris Jordan takes a great one-handed catch diving to his right at slip. The man from Ashford (Kent) has his seventh Test wicket, five years and a month after his first six.
Chris Ingram: Thanks to all for slagging off Broad - he just bowled a beauty. Personally I think that Tredders will never take a hat-trick...
Chanderpaul finally looks to have middled one, pulling a shorter ball from Broad for two down to Gary Ballance running round at deep square leg. Broad yells an appeal for lbw as Chanderpaul is taken on the thigh pad by a delivery clearly sailing down the leg side - thankfully for England, Captain Cook decides against using up a review.
Shannon McKee from Northern Ireland: Really enjoying Geoffrey's sensible views on the future of Test cricket. As a 19-year-old traditionalist who prefers Test cricket, I too fear for the long format of the game. I'm paying good money to come to Trent Bridge this summer v Australia, but fear this kind of event may become more and more rare with the rise of limited-overs cricket, and the powers at be focusing less on the long term future of Test cricket.
