Jason Roy has lifted spirits for T20 Blast strugglers Surrey with the type of innings that has earned him his England place.

He's been steadily impressive, dominating his opening partnership with Dean Elgar and hitting three fours and reaching his half-century with his third six. His 50 came off 39 balls and included three fours and three sixes.

Glamorgan are slowing the run rate since Elgar was dismissed but can Surrey make the most of wickets in hand?

  4. Kyle show you who's bosspublished at 19:08 British Summer Time 26 June 2015

Paceman Kyle Jarvis has taken 55 wickets in the Championship for Lancashire this summer, but that cuts no ice with Brendon McCullum, who slashes his first boundary for Birmingham Bears and then adds two more for good measure of the next two deliveries, hoiking the second through mid-wicket before lofting over the head of the mid-off fielder. Anyone remember Tommy Steele's 'Hold it, crash, bang, wallop'...

Yorkshire start their reply under cloudy skies with Aussie dynamo Aaron Finch and skipper Andrew Gale, who has five 50s in his last six T20 knocks against Leicestershire.

But danger man Finch is trapped lbw by his international team-mate Clint Mckay! A great start for the hosts as Finch's disappointing form continues.

Oh, goodness me. Opta Jim, and the rest of us, owe Moeen Ali a bit of an apology.

The England all-rounder gets a first-ball duck as Worcestershire set about their chase, with Rob Keogh snaffling a catch off the bowling of Rory Kleinveldt. What a start.

  8. Roy given a lifelinepublished at 19:02 British Summer Time 26 June 2015

Steady stuff from Surrey and Jason Roy in Cardiff against Glamorgan, though he's just been dropped by Graeme Wagg off the bowling of Andrew Salter.

The England one-day opener has 41 from 30 balls after eight overs but has not truly cut loose.

Wickets in hand seem to be in mind for Surrey, who need victory to climb off the bottom of the table.

The England one-day opener has just deposited Dean Cosker for six after earlier dumping another maximum into the River Taff. Roy is closing on a half-century for Surrey.

  16. Northants finish on a highpublished at 18:53 British Summer Time 26 June 2015

Some late lusty blows from Steven Crook and Rory Kleinveldt helped Northants get back on track and gain the momentum at the halfway point against Worcestershire.

Kleinveldt bludgeoned 42 from 12 balls and Crook finished unbeaten on 56 as Northants added 61 runs in the last three overs.

Despite a blistering start by Northants, they were 112-5 with six overs left after some tidy bowling from Brett D'Oliveira, who also ran out Josh Cobb.

But the end-of-innings fireworks have left group leaders Worcestershire with a great deal to do.

  17. Simpson sets the standardpublished at 18:52 British Summer Time 26 June 2015

John Simpson hits all 14 of the runs that come off the final over of the innings to take his personal score up to 84 off 51 deliveries - the best of his T20 career. You have to say that total looks a bit short of what Middlesex would have expected after the start they made.

  18. Yorkshire set 143 to winpublished at 18:51 British Summer Time 26 June 2015

The final couple of overs are left to the bowlers as Clint McKay and Ben Raine try to build a target they can defend.

McKay manages a four off Patterson in a penultimate over which goes for 11, but that's it for the boundary count as Fisher restricts the Foxes to a measly three singles and two byes at the death.

Yorkshire will be mighty pleased with their efforts in the field, but will they also struggle for momentum on this pitch? We shall find out in 15.

Ollie Rayner tries a reverse sweep that goes all wrong as Tim Groenewald takes another key wicket. That's seven down for Middlesex, who haven't really capitalised on a superb start to the night. What can they get the score up to in the closing few balls?
