Evergreen seam bowler David Masters returns to the Essex side after missing their Championship match against Gloucestershire because of a groin strain.

They will bat first at the Ageas Bowl after Hampshire captain James Vince won the toss, with the home side giving Joe Gatting, nephew of ex-England skipper Mike, a chance in the absence of injured Sean Ervine.

The winners will move to the top of South Group providing their run-rate is better than that of current leaders Kent, who do not have a T20 game this week.

Essex: Pettini, Ryder, Westley, Bopara, ten Doeschate (capt), Browne, Foster, Napier, Masters, Tait, Topley.

Hampshire: Vince (capt), Carberry, Gatting, Shah, Adams, Wheater, Smith, Berg, Wood, Yasir Arafat, Briggs.

Derbyshire have won the toss and will bat first in the East Midlands derby with Nottinghamshire.

Derbyshire prop up the table, but have Kiwi international batsman Hamish Rutherford available to make his T20 Blast debut.

Notts, who sit second bottom of the North group, will be hoping for big things from the returning England tyro Alex Hales.

Derbyshire: Durston (capt), Rutherford, Hughes, Madsen, Thakor, Elstone, Hughes, Knight, Poynton, White, Rimmington.

Notts: Hales, Lumb, Wessels, Smith, Patel, Taylor (capt), Christian, Mullaney, Hilfenhaus, Fletcher, Gurney.

  3. Wicket wait is overpublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 26 June 2015

We've finally got the first wicket of the match, more than halfway through the Gloucestershire innings as Hamish Marshall falls to Luke Wright's bowling. The immovable Michael Klinger is still there at the other end though, grabbing another half-century and upping his average to 500*.

    * this may be a slight exaggeration. But only a slight one.

With all the Birmingham Bears players safely at Old Trafford following delays on the M6, they will bat first after Lancashire skipper Steven Croft won the toss and opted to bowl first.

The Red Rose county make one change that beat Durham on Thursday evening, with Jordan Clark returning in place of paceman Tom Bailey.

There is no Ian Bell in the Bears line-up, but his replacement isn't half bad - New Zealand's Brendon McCullum, who is set to open with skipper Varun Chopra in his debut appearance for the holders.

Lancashire: Prince, Horton, Brown, Croft (capt), Faulkner, Livingstone, Davies, Lilley, Clark, Parry, Jarvis.

Birmingham Bears: Chopra (capt), McCullum, Porterfield, Ambrose, Clarke, Evans, Gordon, Javid, Patel, Hannon-Dalby, Poysden.

Andrea Agathangelou goes on the attack, hitting the first three balls of Will Rhodes' second over for a six and two fours. But disaster strikes with the fourth as Niall O'Brien is run out by Jonny Bairstow.

The South African takes another three runs from Steve Patterson's over, moving on to 34 from 21, but Tom Wells is then caught by Rich Pyrah to leave the hosts on 120-6 with just three overs left.

  6. Roy sets Surrey landmarkpublished at 18:35 British Summer Time 26 June 2015

BBC London 94.9's Mark Church: "I've seen some strange starts to T20 games, but this is one of the stranger."

The only boundary from the opening over comes as Jason Roy misses with an attempted reverse sweep and it goes for four byes. Roy, back for Surrey after England duty, did finally get off the mark with two to become Surrey's leading T20 scorer, overtaking Mark Ramprakash.

  7. Gloucestershire up the tempopublished at 18:34 British Summer Time 26 June 2015

[Warning: dance metaphor alert] If the first few overs were a gentle waltz for Gloucestershire, the last couple have been a bit of full-out Lionel Blair tap dance... Two sixes off the ninth over take them to 76 without loss - where are the wickets coming from for Sussex?

  8. Rapids peg back Northantspublished at 18:30 British Summer Time 26 June 2015

Worcestershire have fought back steadily against Northants after an explosive start by the hosts saw Richard Levi and David Willey smashing the ball to all parts inside the first three overs.

Both men have gone and a fabulous piece of fielding by Brett D'Oliveira also saw Josh Cobb run out.

The run rate has slowed but with five overs to go it is delicately poised. However, Northants are running out of wickets.

John Simpson brings up his half-century off 30 balls as he digs out an Alfonso Thomas yorker to run a single to the boundary. That's our first 50 of the evening.

He is clearly the backbone of this innings now - is he going to step even harder on the accelerator now?

Rashid's first ball of his final over is struck for four by Andrea Agathangelou, but just four singles and a dot follow as he ships a respectable 28 runs from his four-over allocation.

Earlier Rich Pyrah also completed his bowling duties, conceding just two boundaries and 26 runs and bowling Foxes opener Eckersley for 28.

Leicestershire desperately need some momentum if they want to post a challenging target. Niall O'Brien has 25 off 23.

  11. Rashid helps restrict Foxespublished at 18:23 British Summer Time 26 June 2015

Not a bad evening's work for England one-day spinner Adil Rashid, by the sounds of it...

BBC Radio Leeds' Dave Fletcher: "That's 1-28 from his four overs for Rashid. If you can go for less than 30 in your four overs in T20 you've had a pretty good evening."

By T20 standards it's been a pretty sedate start to proceedings in Bristol, with just the three boundaries off the first four overs for Gloucestershire. Given Michael Klinger's pretty respectable average of 228.5 in the competition, there's plenty of scope for that to improve quickly though.

Glamorgan hope the confidence gained from four Championship wins in a row will help inspire them against bottom-of-the-table Surrey.

Surrey have just one win from seven T20 Blast fixtures so far and need a serious upturn in form to make the quarter-finals.

England one-day opener Jason Roy will get the chance to lead the fight from the off in Cardiff, with the Brown Caps being put in to bat.

Glamorgan: Rudolph (acpt), Wallace, Ingram, Cooke, Lloyd, Meschede, Wagg, Parnell, Salter, Hogan, Cosker.

Surrey: Roy, Elgar, Solanki, Wilson, Foakes, Azhar Mahmood, Burke, Curran, Batty (capt), Linley, Dunn.

Niall O'Brien takes two from the first ball of Adil Rashid's second over before he sends down a wide.

O'Brien then takes another couple before a leg bye and Ned Eckersley a single as Leicestershire reach halfway on a below-par 61-3.

BBC London 94.9's Andrew Moon: "That's real frustration for Eoin Morgan. They decided to get after Max Waller but that was pure theatre. Peter Trego always looked like he was going to catch that but he almost overbalanced as he took that just inside the rope.

"The extra weights and balance work he has been doing in the gym has paid off there."

  17. KEY WICKET Morgan c Trego b Waller, 7published at 18:06 British Summer Time 26 June 2015

It wasn't the return to Middlesex colours that Eoin Morgan - or most of the crowd at Uxbridge - hoped for as the England captain is caught off the bowling of Max Waller for just seven runs. He never really got going, it has to be said - an uncharacteristic innings from the in-form man.

  18. Adil Rashid strikes!published at 18:04 British Summer Time 26 June 2015

Adil Rashid takes just four balls to make an impact as he comes into the attack in the eighth over.

After two singles from the first three balls, the England man takes the key wicket of New Zealand international Grant Elliott for just three with a brilliant caught and bowled.

Just one more single from the over as Leicestershire continue to struggle to find the boundary - 46-3, with Eckersley still there on 18.

While Eoin Morgan - now seven off 15 balls - continues to pot around, John Morgan smashes two sixes to move onto 28.
