The wheels are coming off slightly for Sussex as they lose Luke Wright in the first two overs. Wright charges down the pitch to Mitchell Claydon but can only sky the ball to Darren Stevens in the deep.

BBC Radio Derby commentator and former New Zealand seamer Iain O'Brien at Edgbaston: "Derbyshire are staring at a massive total here. Brendon McCullum is looking in great nick. He hits a six with what was more of a top edge than anything and then hits the next ball 20-odd metres over an 80-metre boundary for a huge six of well over 100 metres. Wow!"

  3. Postpublished at 19:09 British Summer Time 3 July 2015

Brendon McCullum is showing no signs of slowing down - he's launched Alex Hughes for another huge, straight six to take him to 79 from just 34 balls.

  4. Kohler-Cadmore reaches 50published at 19:07 British Summer Time 3 July 2015

Tom Kohler-Cadmore brings up his second T20 Blast half-century in style, hammering Samit Patel for his third six of the innings to reach the milestone from a mere 26 balls.

Nottinghamshire hit back in the next over though, as Steven Mullaney bowls Richard Oliver for 31. Worcestershire are 94-2 at the halfway point.

Ah, sorry Ashwell Prince. The commentator's curse strikes as the South African left-hander skies an attempted pull shot off Rich Pyrah and Jonny Bairstow takes a comfortable catch.

    Prince goes for a well-made 59 off 30 balls.

"A wonderful knock from Ashwell Prince and he will think the job is not even half done yet with 12 overs remaining. A top start the South African has given Lancashire."

BBC Sport's Nabil Hassan at Taunton: "A very productive final five overs saw Somerset end their innings with a competitive 174-6. Luke Ronchi picked up the pace and scored a decent 49 before being caught, while Tom Cooper's 38 also played its part in their decent total.

"It's gone a bit gloomy here, but hopefully the rain should stay away.

"The halfway point in T20 cricket is a hive of activity. The batting team are straight back out going through fielding drills before a traditional group huddle, the fielding team attempt to somehow get their eye in as they prepare to bat, while punters go for a much-needed pit stop and refuel."

Dawid Malan has broken the shackles slightly at The Oval, carving Gareth Batty's fourth ball for a huge six.

Surrey have been a little sloppy in the field - a mix-up in communication led to Jason Roy missing a simple run-out chance - but their bowlers have done well to restrict Middlesex so far.

That's some half-century for Brendon McCullum, brought up with a simple flick through mid-wicket.

His fifty has come from just 24 balls and included six boundaries and three sixes. One of those sixes should probably have counted for double, given how far it sailed into the crowd. Birmingham are cruising along at Edgbaston - Derbyshire need to break this pairing.

  10. Ashwell Prince reaches 50published at 19:00 British Summer Time 3 July 2015

Paul Horton fell to Glenn Maxwell immediately after the conclusion of the powerplay, but Ashwell Prince is doing some real damage for Lancashire. He's 53 not out off 26 balls and looking in excellent form.

It's the end of the powerplay at Trent Bridge, where Worcestershire have hit back against Nottinghamshire.

Rapids captain Daryl Mitchell fell cheaply in the first over, but Richard Oliver and Tom Kohler-Cadmore have put on 56 for the second wicket to take the visitors to 60-1 after six overs.

Kohler-Cadmore has 38 runs from 19 deliveries, with two maximums and five boundaries to his name already.

Who'd be a bowler. Slower balls, bouncers - they've gone for boundaries galore, courtesy of Brendon McCullum.

One six is smashed so hard that it sails into the back row of the crowd. Impossible not to feel for poor Shiv Thakor, whose second over flew for 16 big runs.

It's been a miserable return to the north east for former Durham bowler Ben Raine. He takes home figures of 0-55, the worst ever recorded against Durham in a T20 game.

The Jets finished on 163-5 from their 20 overs, with Mark Stoneman remaining unbeaten with a career-best 89 from 59 balls.

The opener was dropped a remarkable three times, twice by unfortunate Leicestershire batsman Andrea Agathangelou.

As powerplays go, that's pretty special from Lancashire. Ashwell Prince and Paul Horton are thrashing the Yorkshire attack to all parts, and Prince is nearing a swift half-century.

  15. Postpublished at 18:53 British Summer Time 3 July 2015

BBC Radio Derby commentator and former New Zealand seamer Iain O'Brien: "We've had a Tweet from a Derbyshire fan saying that her little girl's temperature is coming down after illness... Now he just wants the Bears' run rate coming down too!"

  16. Intervalpublished at 18:51 British Summer Time 3 July 2015

Luke Ronchi and Tom Cooper, who fell in consecutive balls in the 19th over, have got Somerset to a defendable total at Taunton.

Gloucestershire looked on top at the midway point of the innings, but a fifth-wicket stand of 81 has helped the hosts to 174-6.

Ronchi's 49 off 23 balls included five sixes and two fours, while Cooper made 38.

Glamorgan win the toss and choose to bat first against Hampshire.

The visitors are without all-rounder Graham Wagg, who picked up a back injury in their win over Somerset last weekend.

Hampshire's squad includes Australia pace bowler Jackson Bird - he has not featured in the home team's last two matches.

Hampshire: Carberry, Vince, Shah, Adams, Wheater, Smith, Berg, Wood, Arafat, Bird, Briggs.

Glamorgan: Rudolph, Meschede, Ingram, Cooke, Wright, Lloyd, Wallace, Salter, Smith, Cosker, Hogan.

Ah, Brendon McCullum. Not letting Varun Chopra have all the fun, he slams Wayne White for a glorious straight six, before cutting and pulling the medium pacer to take 18 from the over.

Chopra is still playing his shots - he slashes Nathan Rimmington for four, but is dropped the very next ball. And there 50 is up for Birmingham inside four overs. Derbyshire will be desperate to break this partnership.

A fairly sedate start at The Oval for Middlesex, although Paul Stirling has launched Azhar Mahmood into the stands to break the deadlock.

Surrey have the last laugh though as, after a tight over from Mahmood, Stirling carves Sam Curran to Zafar Ansari for 15. He's replaced by Neil Dexter.
