"Pakistan were 132-2 in the 30th over. We always say 'double the score after 30' but they won't be anywhere near it."
Zafar c Buttler b Woakes 15 (Pak 187-9)
Zafar's punchy cameo comes to an end when he aims an extravagant cross-bat swipe at a bang-in ball from Woakes and gets an edge behind to Jos Buttler.
How has that missed? Slower ball from Topley, back of the hand, Wahab completely misses it but the ball somehow bounces over the top of the stumps. Another audacious shot from Zafar, reverse sweeping a full toss behind square for two. Handy runs these for Pakistan.
A momentary ripple of excitement around the stadium as young Zafar launches David Willey into the air, but the shot isn't as big as it looked and lands safely in the outfield. This one's better though! He lines Willey up and smites him back over his head for a big six! What a shot from the debutant.
Pak 172-8
Reece Topley, all tattoos and stubble, in for his eighth over, and Pakistan's ninth-wicket pair are just taking anything they can get. Wahab dinks the ball to third man, calls Zafar for a single and only just makes his ground - he puts in the full-length dive but might have been run out if Jos Buttler had taken the ball more cleanly. Six overs left.

"The backing up has been good from England in the field - they've been working for one another."
David Willey to bowl as England rotate their three seamers. Wahab Riaz and Zafar Gohar plunder five singles from six deliveries. Can they bat the overs out?
Afraid we're having a few technical problems here - a bit like Pakistan's running between the wickets. What a time for young Zafar Gohar to be making his first journey to the crease in international cricket.

"Well done for the direct hit, but the key was how quickly Rashid picked it up and let it go. Pakistan have been woeful, that was their third run-out and it was rather a comedy of errors."

At the interval today, TMS will be looking back at Mitchell Johnson's international career. You'll hear from the man himself, his wife Jessica, and Aggers will be speaking to ex-England batsman Jonathan Trott about what it's like to face him.
Wahab Riaz is the new man - he connects (just) with a wild heave and gets a thin edge down to third man to get off the mark.

"That shot was pretty poor - Reece Topley gets a bit of extra bounce but Anwar Ali goes for a big old waft with no footwork. A soft dismissal."
Anwar c Moeen b Topley 7 (Pak 156-7)
Anwar can't take advantage of that missed chance. His sticky innings comes to an end, trying an almighty heave down the ground off Topley and well caught by Moeen, who's having an excellent day. England will have high hopes of bowling Pakistan out now - perhaps for under 200.
That is an absolute horlicks of a missed stumping from Jos Buttler I'm afraid. Anwar Ali is totally deceived by a full delivery from Rashid and overbalances hopelessly. His foot is stranded outside the popping crease, but unfortunately Buttler handles it as if wearing oven gloves rather than keeping mitts, and the chance is gone. Still, Pakistan's progress is slow - Rashid has come back well.
