No change to the batting order...not yet anyway. Alex Hales and Jason Roy are out there. Kagiso Rabada has the ball. We're ready...

Still, it's not over. No really, it isn't. England are going to have to bat fantastically, extraordinarily, phenomenally well. But they can do it.

Cast your minds back to 12 June. England almost chased 399 to beat New Zealand in an ODI. In fact, if it hadn't been for Duckworth Lewis, they'd probably have done it. All the protagonists of that run chase - Morgan, Hales, Buttler - are here. Maybe, just maybe...

Tim Kiek: Sporting suicide! A completely avoidable massacre. Bayliss/Morgan as bad as Cook/Moores tactically and selection-wise.

No, look, let's be honest, that was all shades of terrible from England's bowlers. There were, it's fair to say, some disappointing individual performances. Reece Topley was savaged like a Rottweiler's chew toy. Chris Jordan was...well, it was a chastening day for CJ. In fact, I think England might have been better off with CJ from Eggheads.

Still, if you though England's bowling was bad, just wait to see what happens to South Africa when the dreaded dew comes down. Eh? Eh?

    So that went well then.

"England were cruelly exposed, ruthlessly shredded. Quinton de Kock was fantastic. I've just seen Trevor Bayliss talking to Jos Buttler. We'll wait and see what it was all about but I wonder if he's gone over to tell him to get on first."

South Africa's Quinton de Kock: "It's a good wicket, you can play freely here and we got a good score. Now we just have to wait and see what happens. First we have to see if there's a bit of dew, but we trained well, specifically for these conditions. We're going to have to bowl very well up front but we're OK for now."

Phil Ajarn: This is one of the worst England performances I've ever witnessed. The fielding has been shocking. The bowling even worse.

Rob Carrick: Is there a more painful sight being an English cricket fan watching Reece Topley and Chris Jordan bowling in tandem.

England, by the way, have now conceded three of the six highest T20 international scores in history.

  16. SA 225-4published at 15:29

England walk off as individuals, a completely decimated rabble. They have been taken for the sixth-highest score in T20 international history. It would be unbelievable if they knock these off. You fancy Dale Steyn to bowl better than Jordan and Topley, don't you?
