Vusi Sibanda pushes the ball into the covers and sets off for a single, both batsmen are ball-watching, they bump into each other, crash their helmets together, and while Masakadza is the man run out, Sibanda is lying on the ground and needs a visit from the Zimbabwe physio...

  3. Zim 17-0published at 3 overs

Masakadza's 12 runs have all come in boundaries as he laces his third four of the day through the covers. Evans is a little annoyed with a rather late dive from a team-mate in the field which lets the ball sail through.

  4. Zim 13-0published at 2.4 overs

Sibanda was sent back at the non-striker's end and had to dive to regain his ground - but third umpire Ian "Gunner" Gould rules he's safely home.

  9. Zim 5-0published at 1 over

Off-spinner Michael Leask, the one team change for Scotland today, is given the first over, bowling round the wicket and rather dragging down his second delivery which Sibanda helps to leg for a single.

With only two men permitted outside the circle in the first six overs, line and length are of paramount importance - and Masakadza sweeps a four to the unguarded backward square leg boundary.

The monkey on Scotland's backs is this - they are still awaiting their first World Twenty20 win, having also failed to register a victory in the 2007 and 2009 tournaments.

Despite some good signs in their first game against Afghanistan, they fell 14 runs short - you can read the match report and watch highlights from that game on the BBC Sport website.

You can also watch Zimbabwe's opening win over Hong Kong - which also came via a 14-run margin.

Zimbabwe have won the toss and will bat first.

Scotland captain Preston Mommsen admits he'd also have batted first - they bring in Michael Leask as an extra spinner. He replaces Calum MacLeod. Zimbabwe are unchanged.
