    Beaumont c Anuja b Harmanpreet 20 (Eng 42-2)

They've got one! Beaumont tries to make it four from four for fours but misjudges it and is caught by Anuja Patil. Harmanpreet has her revenge.

  2. Eng 42-1published at 5.3 overs

Tammy Beaumont has joined the boundary party with two on the bounce - the first a drive through cover, the second a superb flick through midwicket. She makes it a hat-trick of fours with another punch through the off side. The switch to Harmanpreet Kaur's variety of spin is a failure for India, who desperately need wickets now.

  3. Eng 30-1published at 5 overs

India continue to alternate their attack, with Rajeshwari Gayakwad (another spinner) brought in. It is a decent over but the England pair are never in danger. Two added.

  5. Eng 27-1 (Target 91)published at 4 overs

Taylor's positive approach continues as she dispatches a full ball from Anuja for another four. England are eating into this target.

"Now that is positive cricket on a tough wicket. Taylor's used her feet and gone low risk. She didn't try to overhit, which you often see when there isn't pace."

  7. Eng 20-1 (Target 91)published at 3 overs

This is what Sarah Taylor has in her locker. She smacks her second ball over mid-on for four, claims a quick two from her third ball and then finding the rope again with a straight drive from her fourth. That is how you take the game to the opposition. India have claimed a big wicket that over, but will feel deflated because of Taylor's efforts.

"Charlotte's trying to work it too hard. The ball's gone away from her. The wicketkeeper had to make good distance. This wicket could be key because everyone will know the weight of runs scored between Sarah Taylor and Edwards."

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2.1 overs

    Edwards cSushma b Ekta 4 (Eng 10-1)

An immediate change of bowling to the cap-wearing spinner Ekta Bisht brings the breakthrough as India claim a big scalp. The England skipper is gone, mistiming a shot to leg and getting a leading edge that loops to ball to Sushma Verma.

"It's not going to be easy to penetrate this field. But you sense for England it's easy pickings and it's about settling in. The Indian keeper is stood back and it's completely different tactics from England in the field."

Seamer Jhulan Goswami, who has a five-for to her name in this format - against Australia in 2012, charges in but poses no trouble for Edwards and Beaumont, who are content to operate in singles.

Edwards is off the mark straight away with a flick to leg. Beaumont then scores England's first boundary with a edged drive that carries the ball to the rope at third man. Decent start for England.

"What is key is that India will slow this right down and loop it up and put nothing on it. England should go to the ball and let the hands go straight through the line. England should show a bit of impetus - it would be good to see England do it in emphatic manner.

"If England knock this off with a few overs to spare it gives you momentum."

    Cheers Jamie.

So, have India scored enough? You would think not. Only Ireland's 84-5 against New Zealand is a lower total off 20 overs in this tournament so far.

But, this is not the easiest wicket. It is slower than a clamped snail. England will not want to be counting any chickens just yet.
