"It looked pretty plumb and the umpire gave it as leg-byes."
Three more Yorkshiremen on the telly. Was Heartbeat set in Yorkshire? Sarah Taylor is up to the stumps for the pace of Katherine Brunt, West Indies still ticking it around, each single greeted by cheers and whistles. Ooohhh, this is close. Big appeal for lbw against Dottin, turned down. Brunt can't believe it, she's got her head in her hands.

Brian Close, Ray Illingworth and Dickie Bird were all in an episode of Heartbeat!

The bouncy left-arm tweak of Grundy, this Windian pair still swiping and flapping, scampering and sprinting. When will the assault come? A score of 120 or so would have England under the pump.

"There is a bit of slipping and sliding on the outfield. We said before there was a bit of a dew but, as the game progresses, there will be more on the outfield."
Nat Sciver back on, boundaries remaining something of an endangered species. It feels like we've got a big five overs coming back. England will be reasonably pleased with the runs on the board, but Windian wickets in hand means there could be late fireworks.

Ah, I've had it clarified that the film was merely called Follow That Camel. Still seems ridiculous, though. Heather Knight back on with her offies, an under-edge from batter Stafanie Taylor beating keeper Sarah Taylor to bring a couple.

"These two West Indies batters are playing it pretty well. If they stay together until 16 or 17 overs, there could be fireworks."
I'm not for one second having there was actually a film called Carry On Follow That Camel. Anya Shrubsole returns with her in-duckers, England doing a reasonable job of keeping a lid on things at the moment. Singles the order of the day. Shrubsole has conceded only eight from her three overs.

Did Bend It Like Beckham have cricket in it, Darren? More left-arm tweak from Grundy, the small but lively crowd cheering every single added to the score. Eight to go. Even at the moment.

Darren Wiseman: Lemony snicko a series of unfortunate events - usually describes England nicely.
Darren Gray: What about Slumdog Millionaire and Bend it Like Beckham?
A big player wanders out at four for the Windies, the hard-hitting Deandra Dottin. She watches as Stafanie Taylor finally gets moving by cutting for four.

"It was a good, sprightly innings from Quintyne. England needed that breakthrough. It is still hard to clear the ropes on this pitch - it's got to be right in the slot."
Quintyne c Gunn b Sciver 29 (WI 50-2)
Pressure tells on the Windies, with Shaquana Quintyne holing out down the ground. Looking to play the big shot against Nat Sciver, she finds the hands of Jenny Gunn.

Now Mike, Sloggers has been discussed in these pages before. An excellent show, probably the best cricket-themed children's TV show of all time. If Geoffrey has been on Sloggers and Trueman was in Dad's Army, have any other cricketers made it on to the box? Any from outside Yorkshire?
