  1. Aus 85-3published at 11 overs

The medium pace of Hardik Pandya is into the attack, banging the ball in and confusing Glenn Maxwell, who misses, then is hit on the pads, then gets a leading edge. It's like a different sport from what we saw at the start of the innings, the ball now refusing to be hit. Speaking of a different sport, the Boat Race is currently live on the BBC. Some chap in a white blazer and red trousers has just been interviewed. Brazen toffery.

"Finch is going to have to change his approach. He just wants to settle things in now, he's lost a few partners in quick succession. He'll maybe have to stabilise for an over or two."

  4. Aus 81-3published at 10 overs

Glenn Maxwell, the Big Show, swings for the fences from that free hit, but Yuvraj gets away with it. Still too many extras being given away by India but, given the start they had, I reckon they'll be the happier team at halfway.

  5. Aus 77-3published at 9.2 overs

Smith might have a case, you know. There's no suggestion of an edge on that. Either way, the theory of the left-armer turning the ball away from the right-handers has worked for India. Yuvraj, though, has over-stepped and given away a free hit...

    Smith c Dhoni b Yuvraj 2 (Aus 74-3)

Yuvraj Singh! His first delivery in the tournament snares Australia captain Steve Smith. Smith can't believe it, walking off shaking his head after being given out caught behind. Look in the scorebook, Steven. It says you're out. India are roaring back.

"Ravi Jadeja, what a brilliant over. He's very awkward to face and so good at fielding off his own bowling too. Overs like that can make the momentum shift in a match. India are building a little bit of pressure here."

  10. Aus 74-2published at 9 overs

Looking again, Warner simply ran past that, as if he was just falling on his sword. Still Jadeja, India still managing to keep it relatively quiet. The score predictor says 205. Wickets would change that. In the last five overs, Australia are 21-2.

"I wonder if David Warner went a bit late there? There wasn't that much flight, so he didn't have time to get into position. That's a big wicket for India and great work from MS Dhoni, tidying up the stumps nicely. Australia were looking very settled."

Warner st Dhoni b Ashwin 6 (Aus 72-2)

Got him! David Warner is absolutely befuddled by a beauty from R Ashwin. Warner down the track, done in the dip and not to the pitch, turn past the outside edge, simple stumping for MS Dhoni. The cricketing equivalent of the nutmeg.

  15. Women's World Twenty20published at 15:33

    England 63-0 (8 overs) v Pakistan

England are going great guns over in Chennai - Charlotte Edwards on 27 from 25 balls is being outpaced by her partner Tammy Beaumont (35 from 23) who already has her T20 career-best score.

Pakistan's highest T20 score against England is 116 - and they look set to have to chase something in excess of that, quickly, for the victory they need to pip England to the semi-finals on net run rate.

  16. Aus 72-1published at 7.4 overs

More Ashwin, insisting on the leg-stump line to right-hander Finch that has him flirting with wides. Then again, when you see this off-side power from Finch, Ashwin's plan makes sense. Every Aussie boundary is met with Indian silence.

"With the line-up Australia have I still think we'll see Finch going for it. He's got to get a hold of Jadeja first though."

  18. Aus 64-1published at 7 overs

Speaking of facial hair, here's Ravi Jadeja. He really does look like Hank Scorpio from the Simpsons. Australia happy to nudge and harry, some whippet-like sprinting from Warner picks up a second that should never have been on. There's been no boundary for 20 deliveries.

"Finch got really stuck in to those balls from Ashwin, but since then Bumrah's been getting some serious jag back. Australia will take this as a start though, they're looking good. And the pitch is playing pretty nicely."
