James Taylor forced to retire
Yes, this morning's big news is that England and Nottinghamshire batsman James Taylor has been forced to retire because of a serious heart condition.
Taylor withdrew from Notts' game against Cambridge MCCU last week with what was believed to be a virus.
But scans have revealed that the 26-year-old has a condition similar to that which ended former Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba's football career.
Three days into the County Championship season and batsmen have been in the news.
England captain Alastair Cook has a century to his name for Essex, Durham's Keaton Jennings has scored tons in both innings against Somerset and Northamptonshire's Ben Duckett is 18 runs short of a triple century.
But today's action is dominated by sad news of a batsman who isn't playing.
