  1. wicket

WICKET Trescothick (c Roy b Ansari) 12published at 16:26 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Somerset 353 & 22-2 v Surrey 463 & 181-8d

Having dropped anchor somewhat, Marcus Trescothick is on his way back to the hutch, caught by Jason Roy in Zafar Ansari's second over.

Chris Rogers, on 10 from a stodgy 28 deliveries, is joined by James Hildreth.

  2. And they're back on at Bristolpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Worcestershire 411 & 91-3 v Gloucestershire 380 & 382-7d

That didn't last long did it? It's as you were in the West Country.

  3. wicket

WICKET Lees (c Woakes b Rankin) 20published at 16:13 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Yorkshire 379 & 40-2 v Warwickshire 443-9d

Yorkshire have now lost both openers, as Boyd Rankin accounts for Alex Lees to leave the visitors 40-2 at Edgbaston.

The Tykes trail by 23 runs with eight wickets remaining.

  4. rain stops play

They're off at Bristolpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Worcestershire 411 & 91-3 v Gloucestershire 380 & 382-7d

The players have gone off at Bristol and, if the rain sticks around for any great length of time, it could well prove decisive. We'll keep you posted.

  5. wicket

EARLY WICKETS IN LEICESTERpublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Kent 264 & 25-2 v Leicestershire 401-9d

Could we be in for a close call at Grace Road?

Kent, trailing by 112, have lost both Daniel Bell-Drummond and Joe Denly to Clint McKay inside the opening seven overs, with 38 overs still to play in the day.

If ever they need a steady partnership it's now.

  6. DERBYSHIRE DRAW WITH GLAMORGANpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 27 April 2016
    Breaking

    Glamorgan 377 & 87-2 v Derbyshire 345

Those puddles (see 14:24 BST) sure did look terminal, and so it's proved as the umpires have called it a day at Derby.

  7. wicket

WICKET Lyth (lbw b Patel) 8published at 15:53 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Yorkshire 379 & 23-1 v Warwickshire 443-9d

There's been an early strike at Edgbaston too, where Adam Lyth has been sent on his way by Jeetan Patel.

The Yorkshire batsman, no doubt hoping to wriggle his way back in to England's team, won't be best pleased with that.

  8. wicket

WICKET Abell (c Burns b Rampaul) 0published at 15:51 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Somerset 353 & 0-1 v Surrey 463 & 181-8d

This isn't exactly going to plan so far for Somerset, as opener Tom Abell is caught by Rory Burns off the bowling of Ravi Rampaul only 12 balls in to the innings.

    The perfect start for Surrey.

  9. Back out at Edgbastonpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Yorkshire 379 & 8-0 v Warwickshire 443-9d

BBC WM's Richard Wilford is watching on:

"With precious little to gain, Yorkshire's batsmen may not enjoy the 75-minute session that remains before a seemingly inevitable draw at Edgbaston.

"Bears' skipper Ian Bell has given his Kiwi spinner Jeetan Patel the new ball along with paceman Boyd Rankin - and Rankin has had Adam Luth spilled already at short leg."

  10. Teapublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Worcestershire 411 & 83-3 v Gloucestershire 380 & 382-7d

It's time for a cuppa in Bristol. Here are the views of BBC Hereford & Worcester's Dave Bradley:

"A Gloucestershire win or the draw are the only likely results after Worcestershire lost three early wickets, all clean bowled.

"They were set 352 to win off 63 overs as Jack Taylor and Chris Dent both scored superb centuries for the home side.

"Brett D’Olivera an Daryl Mitchell both went to the excellent Liam Norwell, the latter not playing a shot, before Joe Clarke was yorked by Josh Shaw.

"Moeen Ali has looked a different class and at tea is 50 not out with a possible 39 overs left in the game."

  11. 50 runs

Moeen makes 50published at 15:41 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Worcestershire 411 & 78-3 v Gloucestershire 380 & 382-7d

It looks like Worcestershire's England all-rounder Moeen Ali has done the business for his county, bringing up his half-century, including eight fours and one six, and settling the ship for his team.

The visitors still trail by 274 runs at Bristol with just under 40 overs left.

  12. Another declaration - and teapublished at 15:26 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Surrey 463 & 181-8d v Somerset 353

I can't keep up! The dismissals of Tom Curran and Gareth Batty in quick succession has prompted, in fairness, an interesting-looking declaration at The Oval.

Somerset require 292 in 40 or so overs. They may just be tempted.

Here's the view of BBC Somerset's Stephen Lamb:

"Kumar Sangakkara was again top scorer for the hosts, with 71 to add to his first-innings 171, but Surrey were prevented from accelerating as they would have liked by the regular fall of wickets.

"Craig Overton and Lewis Gregory complemented yesterday’s batting heroics with three wickets apiece, and there were also two for left-arm spinner Jack Leach.

"Surrey will be looking to their spin partnership of Gareth Batty and Zafar Ansari to fashion what would be their first Championship win of the summer."

  13. Tea and an inspection on the waypublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Glamorgan 377 & 87-2 v Derbyshire 345

An early tea has been taken at Derby, after which there'll be an inspection at 15:45 BST. Yeah, good luck with that...

  14. Declaration - and teapublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Warwickshire 443-9d v Yorkshire 379

It's declaration day by the looks of things, as Warwickshire have now followed Leicestershire's lead and popped their opposition in for a bat.

Tim Ambrose finished up unbeaten on 61, while Boyd Rankin was there with him on 16.

They're only 64 ahead of Yorkshire, so it's a bit of a token effort all round.

  15. Declaration - and teapublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Leicestershire 401-9d v Kent 264

After a bit of tail-end terror from the bat of Charlie Shreck - who smashes 17 from nine balls - Leicestershire have decided to declare.

They're 137 runs ahead of Kent, who may just have to be on their guard for half an hour or so to make sure they don't slip up.

  16. wicket

WICKET Patel (b Patterson) 9published at 15:13 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Warwickshire 436-9 v Yorkshire 379

Jeetan Patel has been bowled by Steven Patterson now, just as the sun breaks through the clouds here in Birmingham.

Barring something a bit silly from the reigning champions, I think we can safely expect handshakes all round at 17:00 BST in this one too.

  17. wicket

WICKET Sangakkara (c Leach b Overton) 71published at 15:10 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Surrey 463 & 168-6 v Somerset 353

Kumar Sangakkara's race is run, he's been dismissed by Craig Overton for 71 - exactly 100 runs less than he managed in the first innings.

Surrey are 278 runs ahead with four wickets left. About 45 overs remain in the day.

  18. Two down, five to go...published at 15:08 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

We're getting there, folks. Five matches still in play - but will we see any more positive results?

  19. DURHAM DRAW WITH MIDDLESEXpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 27 April 2016
    Breaking

    Durham 305-4 v Middlesex 389

After 14 deliveries across days three and four, the good people of Chester-le-Street have been put out of their misery.

Durham and Middlesex will share the spoils.

  20. wicket

The Foxes are foldingpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 27 April 2016

    Leicestershire 373-9 v Kent 264

    Wayne WhiteImage source, Getty Images

Not that it particularly matters in the overall context of the match, but this has been a bit of a collapse from Leicestershire, slipping from 305-4 to 373-9.

Wayne White (33 not out) and number 11 Charlie Shreck are the last men standing.
