    Nick Compton is in need of runs, Steven Finn is looking for that great intangible - rhythm. The Middlesex pair are hoping to secure their place in the side for the series against Pakistan last in the summer.

    James Vince would like a score, while Chris Woakes is out to prove he's the real deal at Test level. Plenty for us to talk about over the next five days. 

  5. So welcome. It feels like a little while since we've done this, doesn't it?

    Almost two weeks ago, England were wrapping up the series in Durham. Now, Alastair Cook's unchanged side arrive in London looking for a series whitewash. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, are in search of some face-saving pride.

  6. Yep, we're in St John's Wood for the third and final Test. England have already wrapped up the series, and sometimes that can leave things feeling a little flat.

    Not, though, when we get our first glimpse of HQ this summer.
