Like watching a really persistent back-marker in a Formula 1 race not letting Lewis Hamilton lap him - England continue to frustrate Pakistan. I use the term frustrate loosely as the visitors are still in charge overall. But Moeen blocks away to glory for most of that Yasir over and then steals a single off the final ball. Job done.
Earlier today, we had some correspondence that suggested Geraint Jones may have been involved in catching Pokemon. Well, Geraint's had his say...
Thoughts on Moeen? He's been playing with due care in this match, and that's nothing new of course. One of my best viewings of him was the match against Sri Lanka at Headingley two years ago where he batted for most of that final day without a shot in anger. So he's got the skills to stage a slow recovery. That languid strokeplay - almost Yuvraj Singh-like - brings him a single through mid-wicket and takes him to 10 off 32 balls.
Ballance's leg side is being guarded by at least four fielders inside the circle, and a short leg to boot. Yasir is not taking any chances. The batsman tries to work himself into the outer field but has to be content with blocking it away.

I said the crowd had quietened - not if you're wearing the green of Pakistan. Flag waving and more shouts pointing to a visitors' victory as Amir grunts away from over the wicket. England's run rate below four an over now, compared to when it was nearing five shortly after lunch.
From a Pakistan perspective, this is a tricky situation as England are beginning to slow things down a lot. No more of the slashes outside off stump, or heaves down the ground. Even the crowd have quietened down to a gentle murmur, except of course when the television camera pans to any section. This gentle play brings three more for the total.

Nige Smith: Four Your Eyes Only
Frank McCabe: OctoHussey
Bob Priestley: Live and Leg Bye
Amir joins Sohail in the grunting department and also gives Moeen a bouncer to think about. Lots of suggestions for Bond films that Geoffrey Boycott could feature in or lend his name to. From rhubarb with love also springs to mind.
Yasir 10-2-24-0
For all his tidy bowling, Yasir is yet to get among the wickets. Who would have thought that at the end of the Lord's Test eh? Milked for runs at Old Trafford and so far unable to make a breakthrough of his own. It's another miserly over, gives away just one, and at least neither of Ballance or Moeen are trying to charge him down. Gentle defence the order of the day.

David somethingelse: Sohail - Dr. Noball
Totum: Thundernoball
Ballance 45, Moeen 7
On the Bond movies subject, anyone for Casino Rahul (Dravid). Or have I just ruined your afternoon tea?
Steady breeze blowing away, umpire's trousers are always a good indicator against a green outfield backdrop. Also, the floodlights are on. Amir runs in from over the wicket as England take the odd run here and there off him. He's got decent pace at the moment at about 87mph.
Shouts of "Pakistan jeetega" - Pakistan will win - are surely a bit premature? England are five down, but remember Pakistan may not necessarily want to bat today if the conditions remain the same. Yasir gives three away and it might be time for Mohammad Amir to steam in I think.
Geoffrey Boycott
Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special
You should always be wary of asking the batsmen what you should do if you win the toss. Raymond Illingworth always asked me two questions. "Do I want to bat? What's best for the team?" They might be two different answers.
Love the cricketers as Bond movies suggestion, Bruce. More must be better.
England's first boundary for more than three overs is a good flick from Ballance off Sohail. Slightly under length from the right-armer and Ballance is able to get it away. It was in the air for milliseconds but not much danger.

Ballance 39, Moeen 2
So two left-handers at the crease now. Yasir does his finger-licking thing coming from over the wicket. Ballance comes forward to defend one back to the leggie, and nearly gets run out with the throw back to the keeper. Ballance, fortunately, had excellent swivel skills there to get back.

Sam James: Sohail surprised to get Bairstow out on the cut. It was there for it, right?
