Despite the delayed start at Swansea, it's looking like a better day around the country than the previous two days.

But Stav Danaos from the BBC Weather centre is the man in the know more so than me with the full forecast....

The weather has indeed taken a turn again at Swansea, so no news yet on either the toss or the two teams...

So weather already causing some problems before a ball has even been bowled.

A second inspection was due for 11:15 BST, but I'm told the rain has started falling again at St Helen's.

So that's the latest news from Edgbaston.

Meanwhile, it's a gentle introduction today to the latest round of County Championship action with just the two games set to start.

Durham and England all-rounder Ben Stokes will miss the remainder of the Test series against Pakistan with a right calf strain.

The 25-year-old sustained the injury during the fourth day of England’s 330-run victory over Pakistan at Emirates Old Trafford last month.

Stokes will continue his rehabilitation with the England medical team during the Edgbaston Test this week.

He will now work towards being available for selection during the one-day series starting later this month.

News from our two games scheduled for today shortly, but elsewhere, it's day one of the third Test at Edgbaston between England and Pakistan.

Pakistan have won the toss and elected to bowl first.
