  1. Eng 119-6published at 38 overs

Katherine Brunt advances to Connell and a thick edge to third man gives her a single. An orthodox glance in the same direction from Wyatt adds another. Brunt has a swing but is nowhere near that. She then almost falls over lunging at one but that's out of reach and deservedly a wide.

Injured England vice-captain Anya Shrubsole on TMS: "Danni and Jonesy batted brilliantly. We trust in the preparation we've done here - we spent lots of time training on wickets not dissimilar to this, which should hold us in good stead. The West Indies pitches have become a lot more like subcontinent pitches in recent years. It's unlikely to swing very much, but that's part of the fun of bowling."

  3. Eng 115-6published at 37 overs

Lots of sweeping and cutting today and Wyatt executes the former to scamper a couple more from Taylor. That's all they can garner from the over though. England's scoring rate checked a little since Amy Jones' dismissal.

Injured England vice-captain Anya Shrubsole on TMS: "The side strain's not as bad as first feared, so hopefully I'll be ready to go for the third ODI. It's been pretty tough going for our batters, but we expected that. We're all pretty relaxed, I think the pitch will get harder and harder to bat on as there's plenty of sun which will make it even drier."

  5. Eng 113-6 (Wyatt 30, Brunt 4)published at 36 overs

Connell into her eighth over and keeps it tight, allowing Brunt just a single off the over. The Windies bowler has conceded just 22 with two of her allocation left.

England bowler Anya Shrubsole has just arrived in the TMS box - the vice-captain was forced to miss this match with a side strain.

Katherine Brunt is one of the funniest people to bat with as she will just keep talking to you out there. She'll talk a lot about the game, picking up little things like the ball coming out of the bowler's hand - whereas someone like Nat Sciver will talk about where to go for dinner in the evening.

What they've got to be careful of, is that if they lose one more wicket they're going to have to just shut up shop and bat out the overs.

  8. Eng 112-6published at 35 overs

Stafanie Taylor continues, just four runs off her first two overs, Wyatt comes down the pitch and gets a single into the leg side. Brunt gives herself some room but can't pierce the field with a cut. There's been plenty of those on this slow pitch. Brunt's finally off the mark with a sweep that brings her two before a single takes the score to 114-6 with 15 overs to go.

  9. Eng 108-6published at 34 overs

Shamilia Connell lopes in now to Danielle Wyatt who has to stretch to get the toe-end of her bat on that for a single - she could probably have let that go for a wide. Brunt facing and still to get off the mark - Lydia Greenway on TMS says she is nicknamed 'Wendy Waffler' because of her constant chatter at the crease. Just the one off the over.

  11. Eng 107-6published at 33 overs

Katherine Brunt in now and she's well forward with eyes right over the ball to defend her first ball from Taylor. A cautious start as she straight-bats the rest of the over. A wicket maiden for Stafanie Taylor.

Amy Jones had played really well, she'll be disappointed with that - the sweep was a good option but she couldn't execute it. She played an important role - now it's up to Katherine Brunt to help Danni Wyatt.

    WICKETpublished at 32.2 overs

    Jones c Aguilleira b Taylor 20 (Eng 107-6)

Jones is gone for 20 as she tries to sweep Windies' captain Taylor's off-breaks and is caught behind by wicketkeeper Aguilleira. That's an important partnership of 45 though for England.

  14. Eng 107-5published at 32 overs

Jones' pull isn't timed on this slow pitch doesn't get past mid-wicket. Another cut brings a single. Two off the over.

  15. Eng 105-5 (Wyatt 27, Jones 19)published at 31 overs

West Indies captain Stafanie Taylor with her first bowl of the day and there's an lbw appeal from the off-spinner against Danielle Wyatt but the umpire isn't interested. Taylor drops short and Jones cuts well but can only get one. Quick single next up after Wyatt drives into the covers. Five added to the total and these two making batting look a lot easier.

These two just need to keep milking it and take what they can. Amy Jones has worked hard against spin, and it's paying off. She's using her feet really well.

These two are very fit players and good runners, but with the heat, the challenge will be to pace their innings and capitalise towards the end.

  17. Eng 100-5published at 30 overs

Left-armer Erva Giddings back into the attack on her ODI debut, she drops short and Amy Jones swivels a pull shot to the boundary for four. That's a handsome, confident shot and England have brought the 100 up. Twenty overs to go - 180 suddenly looking very much within reach, perhaps even beyond that.
