After just one over from Dottin, Anisa Mohammed has had a change of ends and switches her bouncy off-spin to the Pavilion End. But it's more of the same from the England pair, helping themselves to ones and twos, and they earn a quick visit from the 12th man for a speedy drink between overs.

These two just need to keep knocking it about and take the easy options. The longer it goes on, the more the West Indies will get frustrated and hopefully that's where the bad balls will come in.

  3. Eng 76-3published at 30 overs

The England fourth-wicket pair continue to knock the ball around with aplomb under the warm Jamaican skies, Taylor recalls herself to the attack but Sciver in particular is running well as she taps the ball into the covers, gets her head down and charges through for a single. England need 73 more - so under the "double the score at 30 overs" theory, they're bang on course.

  5. Eng 73-3published at 29 overs

A change at the Pavilion End - the cap-wearing Matthews is replaced by the slingy medium pace of Deandra Dottin, who bowled well on Saturday and picked up a couple of wickets. Knight opens the face to knock a single to third man - then Dottin sends down a waist-high full toss on the leg side, which is signalled as a wide but might easily have been ruled as a no-ball for height. Dottin and Knight collide in mid-pitch as Sciver tips-and-runs a quick single - three from the over, and that'll do nicely for the tourists.

Knight sweeps Mohammed, who sinks to her haunches in frustration, and the England skipper rotates the strike well. England ticking along nicely.

Women's Cricket Blog: Keeper Campbelle risks being warned for her conduct if she doesn't control her disgust at not out verdicts.

We've already seen plenty of demerit points being given out this week!

  8. Eng 67-3published at 27 overs

    Knight 17, Sciver 8

Hayley Matthews, still bowling in a maroon West Indies cap, serves up a juicy full toss but Sciver hits it straight to a fielder. But just when a maiden over is on the cards, Matthews fires one down the leg side which Sciver helps away for four. A much-needed boundary - England have barely managed two runs an over since the spinners came on.

It is finely poised. It's just about time. England need to run nice shots down the ground, rotate the strike and allow Nat Sciver to get in and develop a strong partnership that England need.

Thanks, Alan. "Good spell", as you occasionally hear a captain say in club cricket as a valued bowler retreats to the deep. As they've been saying on TMS, if they can bat through the overs, England should win this.

Mohammed, bouncing in from the Sea End like a cat on a hot tin roof, finds the proverbial immovable object in Natalie Sciver, who waits carefully for the right ball to dab for a single.

Elwiss' dismissal looked a bit similar to Tammy Beaumont's, getting too far across and getting bowled round her legs. You can't fault the England players for taking on the shots on this pitch, it's just unfortunate she got caught.

  12. Eng 61-3published at 25 overs

Nat Sciver the new batter who sees off the final ball of Mohammed's over.

Hayley Matthews continues to Knight who picks up a single. Sciver almost gets off the mark with a boundary as she smacks a full toss through mid-wicket but it's cut off and she has to be content with two.

A couple more singles and at the halfway stage England need another 88 runs to win with seven wickets in hand. Still in the tourists' favour but not much in it.

To take you through the rest of the match, I'll leave you in the exceedingly capable hands of Mark Mitchener.

    Elwiss b Mohammed 16 (Eng 56-3)

Two more to Knight as she hits Mohammed into a gap on the off-side, then another sweep for a single.

Elwiss tries the sweep herself but that's her downfall - bowled around her legs just like Tammy Beaumont.

Just when England were accumulating nicely, West Indies are right back in this.

They just need to sit in and pick up what they can. We have seen the damage wickets can do. In these conditions you can't play an entertaining brand of cricket. A sign of a good team is winning ugly.

  15. Eng 53-2 (target 149)published at 23 overs

Georgia Elwiss moves forward and flicks Matthews high over mid-wicket - a one-bounce four and that's the 50 up for England.

England are picking up runs really well, they are coming down and knocking it through the gaps. It's good to see them adapting to these conditions.

  17. Eng 49-2 (target 149)published at 22 overs

Anisa Mohammed to Knight and another sweep from outside off for one. Elwiss then tries a Jos Buttler-style ramp shot but I'm not sure that's a good idea off a slow bowler - she's lucky the ball drops just out of the reach of scampering wicketkeeper Shemaine Campbelle.

There's an appeal for caught behind from Campbelle as Knight is beaten but Mohammed joins in very belatedly. Unconvincing.

  18. Eng 45-2 (target 149)published at 21 overs

Hayley Matthews is into the attack and is wearing a cap. At least she has not turned it round in the style of Geoff Boycott when he bowled, or the now retired Australian tennis player Lleyton Hewitt.

Heather Knight picks up a single off her Hobart Hurricanes team-mate.

  19. More demerit points have been given...published at 20:29 British Summer Time 10 October 2016

The International Cricket Council's new demerit points system has been getting plenty of use in the last few days. Joining Jos Buttler, Mashrafe Mortaza, Sabbir Rahman, Ravindra Jadeja and Erva Giddings on the ICC naughty step are Aussie wicketkeeper Matthew Wade and South Africa's Tabraiz Shamsi after clashing during yesterday's ODI.

Sabbir and Jadeja already have three points against their name, less than a month after they were introduced. The others have one. Four (in any two-year period) gets you a suspension.

  20. Eng 44-2 (target 149)published at 20 overs

Mohammed again and England pick up three singles - the last a flick to leg from well outside off by Knight.

Time for drinks. The tourists not exactly sitting pretty but definitely in the stronger position - they need 105 from 30 overs to go 2-0 up in this five-match series.
