While I was umpiring in a work match, a rather portly member of the opposition fell while attempting to take a catch and ended up lying in the middle of the wicket.  I jokingly asked the batsmen if they'd asked for the heavy roller to be brought on, at which point the offending fielder grabbed a stump out of the ground and proceeded to chase me off the pitch, whirling the stump around his head.  Diplomatic relations were restored in the bar, after the match.

After a stumping down the leg side, a poilte enquiry from Buttler - and he is an extremely polite young man - but Shakib has the back foot grounded safely. There is a leg gully for the left-hander for Rashid but Shakib flicks it past him for a brace.

The Bangladesh spinners may be licking their lips at the amount the ball is turning for Rashid and Moeen.

    Moeen 0-35 from 8

More spin from Moeen, one rips past the outside edge of the left-handed Shakib but there are few other alarms and three singles ensue.

Shakib Al Hasan is the new man, he's closing in on 5,000 ODI runs too, but he'll be hard pressed to get them in this match, he needs another 438.

    Sabbir c Buttler b Rashid 49 (Bang 176-4)

No fourth ODI fifty for Sabbir, he reaches for a Rashid leg-break and a jubilant Buttler claims the catch from the softest of edges. There is a long pause before umpire Rahman raises the finger, but the wicket is eventually confirmed.

Alex Adams: Surely with three good seamers playing Dawson should have got the shout on this pitch over Plunkett?

  11. Bang 174-3published at 32 overs

    Sabbir 48, Mushfiqur 15

I think they'd be upset with any less than 239 from here Alex! A delightfully deft leg glance from Sabbir off Moeen's gentle off spin brings him a fifth boundary and the 50 stand arrives from 44 balls.

Alex Brooke-Smith:, externalIf Bangladesh get 239, England will need the highest successful ODI run chase at Chittagong. Put the brakes on lads.

Skilful placement from Sabbir brings him a brace of twos as Rashid is unable to produce the elusive magic delivery - or even a shocking one that is hit to a fielder.

On tour in the Caribbean, my ginger friend is struggling with the heat and doesn't take too kindly to being called a lobster after getting out. Gloves and helmet are thrown off - it took three people to get him off the pitch.

Spin at both ends as Moeen returns. Sabbir collects four for his team when a reverse sweep misses everything, bamboozles Buttler and runs away for byes. Moeen then sends down an ugly head high full full toss which is savagely pulled to the mid-wicket fence by Sabbir.

Rashid looks as if he's feeling the pressure, dragging too many down. But he could be England's match-winner.

    Rashid 2-20 from 4 overs

More dramatic turn from Rashid, it arcs away from Mushfiqur's drive, Buttler fumbles but there is no edge. Another big-spinning leg-break starts too wide and is called so by the umpire but the rest of the over is exemplary, tarnished by another needless overthrow from a shy at the stumps.

Playing a Division 2 match in Ireland and a guy got out and refused to walk. Our pro gave him a mouthful and next thing our groundsman/opening batsman grabs the non-walker by the grille and proceeds to walk him off the pitch. Don’t think I have ever laughed so much on a cricket field.

Plunkett has a leg gully in place and tries a bouncer that sails over the diminutive Mushfiqur and is called wide by umpire Erasmus. There is then another wide down the leg-side. Sabbir wristily clips another two runs through mid-wicket. The leg theory not working yet for England.

  20. Bang 134-3published at 27 overs

    Sabbir 27, Mushfiqur 3

Rashid is a most mercurial bowler - we've had deliveries turning almost sideways a la Warne but a series of half trackers the batsmen have feasted upon. This one is more mundane than magic and Sabbir clubs a short one over mid-wicket for his fourth boundary.
