If it's turning, England surely have no chance.

    Plunkett 0-29 from 6

Thanks Phil. The lights are on in Chittagong, from four giant pylons reminiscent of an old school football ground. I'd like to see Rashid bowling from both ends, he is so exciting to watch, but for the moment it is Plunkett persisting with the predominantly short-pitched stuff. Steady if non-threatening, a bit like Will Young's music, and just a smattering of singles result.

England are into this game now, thanks to Rashid. Here is Jamie Lillywhite to describe the rest of the innings.

    Mahmudullah c Bairstow b Rashid 6 (Bang 122-3)

Bad balls get wickets. After dropping short and getting smashed for six, he is near half-track again with his following ball but this time Mahmudullah lofts it tamely to Bairstow at short cover. That is two for Rashid in two overs.

Anife Faria: Sorry Mark Pettman (16 overs) but Michael Holding kicking down stumps in NZ every time, even made that look graceful!

Sabbir continues to go for the rope, smacking Plunkett wide of mid-on for four. The big seamer is still dropping too short. He is punished last ball as his slower effort is pulled away easily by Sabbir for another boundary. Good over for the home side.

Tyler: Adil Rashid will always go for runs BUT he takes wickets.

Sean Perry: Rashid to get plenty of wickets today. Can sense a top performance from him.

I played a midweek league game with a guy called Nigel. The wickets for the league were supposed to be grass but the home team for this match decided that we were going to play on the brand-new artificial wicket they had installed the week before. We were all in spikes and Nigel walked out to open the batting, asked for middle and leg and then proceeded to carve out a mark using his spikes. The home team players went mad and the match ended up being called off due to them wanting to lynch him.

Mahmudullah is the new man. He scored 75 in that second ODI victory for his side. He is completely done by Rashid from his first ball, which spins sharply away from him and past the outside edge of his limp drive.

    Tamim c Vince b Rashid 45 (Bang 106-2)

Jos Buttler turns to potentially his most potent weapon on this pitch, Adil Rashid, and the spinner delivers! It is the googly and if Tamim picks it, he doesn't play it well, rocking back and punching the ball straight to Vince at extra-cover. Big wicket for England.

In passing 38, Tamim Iqbal became the first Bangladesh batsman to score 5,000 runs in ODIs. Shakib-al-Hasan is next on the list with 4,562, with team-mate Mushfiqur Rahim on 4,009.

    Sabbir 9, Tamim 45

Sabbir isn't messing about. His strike-rate has been a tad on the low side this series but he is hunting boundaries from the off here. He clubs Woakes down the ground for four. Tamim follows suit with a fine pull shot to the rope and then another boundary to fine leg. It brings up the hundred for the home side and a big landmark for the batsman...

This looks an excellent cricket pitch - there's bounce, pace and turn. England must keep taking wickets to stay in the game. 280 will be hard to chase.

Sam, Kent: Played in a game vs bitter rivals in 2005, our opening bowler nicked off their overseas Aussie bat but their umpire didn't give it. During a rain break the same opening bowler threatened the umpire wearing just his pants (due to soaking trousers) and had to be restrained! Two game ban ensued!

Every generation is represented here in this crowd, from a young lad sat among a crazed, camera-lusting group to a grey-bearded old fella bouncing around like the best of them at the back of the stand.

England are restricting Bangladesh principally to singles. Five of them off this Stokes over.

Tim Jackson: Pity that the media often fail to codemn such behaviour.

I totally agree, Tim. Don't punch people.

Width from the returning Woakes and it is punished by Tamim who flashes hard and sends the ball flying away to the boundary. Sabbir Rahman is the new man. He has scored 3 and 18 in the previous two ODIs and is off the mark with a single.

    Kayes c sub (Dawson) b Stokes 44 (Ban 80-1)

Breakthrough! Drinks does the business for England, and Stokes in particular. His last ball is a slower off-cutter and draws Kayes into a prod to leg that pops the ball straight to sub-fielder Liam Dawson at a square mid-wicket. Silence in the stands.

As a lower-order batsman, I was handed the umpiring coat at the start of my team's innings. I gave our opener out caught behind in the second over. He refused to go, swore at me profusely and barged me on his eventual way back to the hutch. To round it off, two minutes later he drove his car at speed across the outfield and went home.
