I feel a little bit emotional for Bangladesh. There were all these issues about security before the series and there were doubts about it taking place. The people were all so happy that England came. This is unbelievable.

Mehedi will be a superstar in Bangladesh. He's been splendid and I hope he will have inspired so many youngsters.

The Bangladesh players are off on a lap of honour, as well they might. They're spinning stumps around their head, grinning and applauding. Even bowling coach Courtney Walsh spares a grin - and on his birthday, too.

That is a very special win for Bangladesh. I think 160 million people in Bangladesh will have been glued to the TVs, radios and phones to follow this. I feel privileged to be here to have seen it.

Mehedi, the 19-year-old who has sparked this victory, walks off clutching a stump. He finishes with match figures of 12-159. He's right in the centre as the Bangladesh players huddle around one another.

That's it! Bangladesh have pulled off an amazing victory!

Finn comes down the wicket, completely misses a full ball from Mehedi and Dharmesena raises the finger. Finn makes the review sign - well why wouldn't you? - but England have no reviews left! The Bangladesh players go crackers as they celebrate a brilliantly emotional victory.

Ant Drake: As an England supporter I obviously enjoy seeing them win but a victory for Ban is good for the overall health of test match cricket.

Tim Dart: Shall we look for some positives? We could have lost this series 2-0, at least we'll get a draw!

Shakib, who was underwhelming before tea, currently has figures of 4-48. The camera pans to an emotional-looking Stokes in the dug out. I admire Finn's optimism, as he eyes up the field and spies the gap towards the long on boundary. He contents himself with defending, however.

  9. Eng 162-9published at 44 overs

Finn has joined Woakes, who gets off strike with a little tickle off the pads. Now, how long can Finn survive? There's men all around the bat, crowding Finn, supported by the energetic home crowd. Finn gets forward, the ball pops up - there's no bat but short leg comes diving forward to claim the catch anyway. Eight overs left, for the optimists among you.

The noise around the stadium is unbelievable. What a game.

The Watford Wall, Steven Finn, has a capable defence but not one that will last England over two days!

This is unbelievable. Bangladesh have played superbly throughout and to think that a 19-year-old in his second Test has turned this around is incredible.

    Ansari c Kayes b Shakib (161-9)

Utterly remarkable. Ansari gets forwad, spoons one up to Mominul at short leg. It's in Mominul's hands, then out again, and a diving Kayes from slip snaffles up the rebound. Bangladesh are one away from an utterly remarkable victory.

In comes Ansari. What a situation to be facing on your Test debut. Like an old pro, he takes his time getting to the crease, before Woakes has a quick word with plenty of hand gestures.

Here's Shakib, the crowd right behind him, he bowls a fuller ball and Ansari is forward and smothers it.

  15. wicket

Rashid lbw Shakib 0 (Eng 161-8)

I appreciate Rashid's optimism but that's out. He's been hit flush on the back pad and that's a golden duck, absolutely smashing into middle stump. Rashid's on his way and Shakib's on a hat-trick.

  16. Umpire reviewpublished at 42.3 overs

Rashid lbw Shakib 0 (Eng 161-8)

Shakib's got Rashid first ball! He's given out straight away but he's reviewed it.

Shakib conjures wickets when it doesn't turn. That's a critical one because Stokes was playing his shots and now the stadium is erupting.

Gone! Stokes plays a gorgeous cut for four, Shakib then draws him forward and he inside edges the next ball onto his stumps. Stokes stumps to the ground, head slumped over his bat, while Shakib channels Marlon Samuels and salutes him off the pitch. We've still got nine overs left tonight.

ThreeLionWhip: I guess we should recall the 99 partnership from the 1st innings....c'mon lads!!!

Graham of Brockworth: Pundits saying a great pitch for cricket; rubbish! When luck overrides skill then it's a poor pitch. Easier playing on cobbles.

That's the tiniest, tiniest flicker on Ultraedge. I was sure that ball was going to hit all three stumps. You can't blame the umpire for that. I think a lot of umpires would have given that out.
