India have won 10 of their last 13 Tests, unbeaten since August 2015, and they have not lost at home since England won that series four years ago.

There are some that thought the only way England would not lose this series 5-0 would be if there were only four matches, but this game will go ahead despite the Board of Control for Cricket in India threatening to cancel it over a financial dispute with the courts.

  4. Hameed to make Test debutpublished at 03:20 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2016

Yes Lancashire opener Haseeb Hameed becomes England Test cap number 674, only the second teenager to play Test cricket for England since 1949.

The 19-year-old scored 1,129 runs at an average of 52 in County Championship Division One this summer and he has been presented with his cap by another Lancastrian opener, Mike Atherton.

We'll see if how soon he will be batting when we have the toss in a few moments.

I merely posed the question. India did not beat Bangladesh in their last Test meeting either. Besides, there is a new-look England and a wave of optimism with a new opening batsman, the 10th partner for Alastair Cook in the last four years.
