England have got a theory about Suresh Raina and that's why they have a fine leg and not a square leg. He likes to pull but doesn't climb into it like a Kohli would.
Suresh Raina is doing all he can to try and get his side going. He doesn't quite connect with a rising ball from Mills and picks out mid-off before backing away and swinging wildly down the wrong line. After a quick single, Mills digs one in short to Rahul, who goes after it but misses.
Mills is one ball away from another supreme over, but ruins it with a full ball that Raina picks and powerfully drives over extra cover for the game's first boundary - a six, no less.
Image source, ReutersThere is no silence in India to match that which descends upon a cricket ground when Virat Kohli is out. Suresh Raina joins Lokesh Rahul, whose stock has just dipped, even though he probably wasn't at fault for his captain's run out.
All hail Chris Jordan. He has transformed himself into a really efficient white ball player. Just three runs off the over, to go along with his fielding heroics.

Jordan back-pedals in his appeal and the batsmen don't realise how close he is to the stumps.

This is huge in the context of the game. Kohli just stood there and stared at his partner for ages after that. KL Rahul should have said no straight away. Perhaps they are both at fault.
Kohli run out (Jordan) 2 (Ind 4-1)
Image source, ReutersEngland have got the early breakthrough and it's the one they wanted! The crowd are stunned into silence as Kohli is run out by a quick thinking and agile Jordan.
The seamer was appealing for an lbw, Kohli was looking to steal a quick single but Rahul was not on the same page - a stranded Kohli, outside his crease had nowhere to turn and Jordan flicked the ball onto Kohli's stump.
There was definitely no run there and the captain has to take the blame.
Tymal gets India away with a second-ball wide down leg, before Kohli nurdles the first batsman-earned run of the innings. Rahul is pinned for three balls by Mills but finally gets away with a steered single to third man.
A risky last-ball run from Kohli almost puts Rahul in trouble at the striker's end, but he is a yard ahead of Mills' booted attempt at a run out.
Once again, England start brilliantly with the ball.
Kohli to face the first nut from Tymal. Here we go...

Rishabh Pant has a lot of youthful exuberance. Everyone has been talking about him coming into the side. He's the fourth-highest runscorer in the Ranji Trophy this season.
The Chinnaswamy Stadium has been Gok Wan'd.
The last match to be played here was the IPL final in May. After that final, the ground was dug up to allow a new 'subsurface aeration system' to be installed - which is a basically a state of the art drainage system which should get rid of rain water as soon as it starts to pour down.
Image source, Getty ImagesWell, Kohli has his pads on so maybe he is going to stick as opener? There was talk that Pant would open on debut. Big ask.
I was once called up to my local club's first team fully expecting to bat 11 and field fine leg to fine leg. Got thrown the new ball and promptly lost it by chucking an early ball down leg, past the keeper, over a garden fence. I was popular that afternoon.

Kohli said batting second isn't a problem. It shows that he is saying it doesn't matter England are chasing, yes it's a traditional chasing ground but he's decided 'I'm going to give my team some confidence here and make them believe they can win.'

The Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore has produced some massive T20 scores. In fact, the highest ever team total was recorded in this very ground when Royal Challenge Bangalore scored 263-5 against Pune Warriors in an IPL match in 2013 (a score which was matched by Sri Lanka against Australia last year.)
Could more records be broken today?

Image source, Getty ImagesHow often do you look at an India side and come to the conclusion that their batting is a problem? Not often.
That has been the case this T20 series. Scores of 147 and 144 are below what they would expect. England take a lot of the credit for that. Their bowling has been superb, especially Moeen Ali, Tymal Mills and Chris Jordan.
However, India have some quality bowling of their own, not least Jasprit Bumrah, who bowled one of the finest last overs you are likely to see in this format (with a bit of help from the umpire) to see his side to victory in Nagpur.

India captain Virat Kohli: "Yeah we would have fielded too but seeing how the wicket is it may just break so may be OK batting first. All we have to do is bat well and bat better than the last two games because our batting performance hasn't been up to the mark yet. We need to put a big total on the board.
"We want to try and win all three series if possible that would be a great thing for the team. We have worked hard and the boys are really up for this game."
England captain Eoin Morgan: "The wicket looks pretty good. It's a high-scoring ground, a place where its hard to defend a total, so hopefully we can chase down what they get.
"The last game was one that got away from us. We've put that behind us. Hopefully we can put in what's been mssing, that's a complete performance.
"It's a huge game, a big final, at a ground where there's no hiding. It's a great stage to express yourself."
