To be honest, Chris, I reckon it looks pretty full. But I take your point on price - the cheapest adult ticket is £50. Moeen again! Six more! Dead straight. Big over, this.

Sixer! Moeen reaches out his long levers and plants Tahir for a straight maximum.

The real key here is the captain. He's played a brilliant innings so far. However there's still Tahir and Rabada to face - and a lot of work to do.

Still Phehlukwayo, the live-texter's nightmare. Headingley hums the background noise, that unmistakable chatter of a cricket crowd. This is better bowling, nice changes of pace. Only four from it. What from here? 310? 320? Will that be enough?

Two years ago I was playing tennis at Queen's Club, in the club shop I saw Shane Warne and a friend of his, I went up to ask if his friend could take a photo of the two of us. Only then did his friend turn round and it was Sachin Tendulkar.

South Africa recall Imran Tahir in a bid to stem the runs in the magnificent Leeds sunshine. Headingley, for my money, is the best place to watch cricket in England. Full toss, Moeen drives, straight through the legs of AB de Villiers for four. He's not perfect. And his floppy sunhat is wonky.

If Morgan can stay there I think England can add another 100 runs. They have plenty of wickets in hand and England bat deep. The only issue is, I think South Africa could chase 320, 330 down quite comfortably. It's a good wicket.

Where do South Africa go now? They were sitting on England, but have now being forced onto their backs and are having their ribs tickled. Phehlukwayo, who has picked up two-fer despite bowling a lot of dross, keeps hammering the ball in with an action that ends up with his head on his toes. Morgan continues towards a century, thanks to strokes like these...

The plan was the right idea to Moeen. Just the execution was off. Moeen's put the balls away and thrown the favour back to England.

Moeen in the game! He's not waiting for more short stuff to give him bruised ribs. A skip down the track to flat-bat Wayne Parnell 20 rows back. England may have just come through the sticky patch. It was like they were trying to change gear on the motorway, but accidentally slipped into third and got the car making a horrible noise. Now they've found fifth again.

That was horrible from Phehlukwayo. He's not the quickest anyway and Eoin Morgan thought all of his Christmases had come at once.

Finally, South Africa return to pace. I say pace, but Andile Phehlukwayo is just about topping 80mph. He continues the plan to target Moeen Ali's hip, with the England all-rounder looking like a man who has only just been introduced to cricket. Oh no. Big South Africa own goal. Too many men outside the circle, no-ball, free hit. The slower ball is so obvious that Phehlukwayo may has well have told Morgan he was going to bowl it. Over mid-wicket for a max.

My wife was buying an Audi off someone who called himself Dean, but she thought he seemed a bit dodgy, so they arranged to meet at the local dealership, where he said everyone knew him. He got out of the car and I was able to confirm that his name was Dean and his surname was Headley.

Ryan Sidebottom is in the house, pint of something cold in hand. That man has the best hair in world cricket. No? You tell me who's is better. Morris in the South Africa green, number two on his back. Moeen wafting, then ducking a bumper. All being noted down for the Test series later this summer. England's innings run-rate hasn't been above six since the ninth over.

Prior to today, when JP Duminy has bowled to Eoin Morgan he's dismissed him three times in 18 balls, with Morgan scoring only seven runs.

  17. Eng 222-5published at 38 overs

Still Duminy. Get some pace on! Morgan, pleased that a bowler of 85mph+ isn't using his chest as a target, steps back and cuts for four. England have got hitters in the shed, but one more here and South Africa would have the boot on the throat.

It was that nasty chest height, right at the body. If this was a Test match you'd be clapping your hands and bringing another man in to gully.

  19. Eng 213-5published at 37 overs

    Morgan 62, Moeen 7

Moeen Ali's magnificent beard overwhelms the chin-strap on his helmet. He wafts his bat as the limby Morris stalks in, a leg gully in place to test Moeen's ticker. Another short ball, this time Morgan getting into a tangle. England are up against it after these two wickets in the space of eight runs...
