Bangladesh accumulating runs. Still no news on the injury suffered by Chris Woakes...

It wasn't a good ball and with the angle it was a gift on the leg stump.
That won't cheer Stokes or the captain up.
Ben Stokes appeared to get through his first over without any troubles to that knee, only he will know of course.
But there's another chance! He makes things happen as new man in Imrul Kayes edges away for four. Would have gone to first slip.
Stokes = box office.
Joe Root is moved from the leg side to slip - and Imrul Kayes then pops a four exactly where Root was...
Good solid opening over for Liam Plunkett, who ends by beating the outside edge of the bat.
Ben Stokes back in to bowl...
Liam Plunkett is into the attack now for England, a fifth seamer used already, as they try and put some pressure on new batsman Imrul Kayes.

Sarakr has jumped up to give the kitchen sink to that. Because it popped up a little slower, he kind of guided it into the fielder's hands.
Sarkar c Bairstow b Stokes 28 (56-1)
Breakthrough! It's Ben Stokes too. More bad shot than good ball though to be honest as Soumya Sarkar gets underneath the ball and can only float one out to sub fielder Jonny Bairstow, who catches comfortably.
The first six of the day is a beaut as Soumya Sarkar waltzes down the wicket before clubbing the ball over the long on boundary.
Stokes bowling
Ben Stokes is into the attack, let's see how sharp he looks. Well, that's a wide first up.
Nice and tight line though after that.
When Liam Plunkett goes off the field most of the time the reason is to get his bowling boots on.

Soumya Sarkar is getting into the groove now. He's onto a short ball as quick as you like, cutting high and hard away for four. Punched away.
Jake Ball getting the treatment - that's another great shot! Steps onto the ball and smacks it away - 16 off the over!
That's the 50 up too.
Six! First one of the day as Soumya Sarkar comes down the track and thwacks the ball back over Jake Ball's head.
That's gone a long, long way...

Tamim had no idea where the ball went. Great bowling from Mark Wood, who is very unlucky.
Tamim in trouble! Mark Wood peppers him with a short ball and he gets in a mess, the ball comes off the blade, goes high up in the air, nobody knows where it is and it almost comes back on to the stumps!
Great response though to the next short ball, pulled away Lara style for four.
A fifth of the way through the innings.

The fact Chris Woakes has walked off after two overs is a real concern. Liam Plunkett is also off the pitch. I don't know why that is, but if they are two bowlers down so early in the tournament that is a real concern.
There's no chance I'm wading into a north-south debate with you Martin...
Razor-sharp single taken by Soumya Sarkar. Bangladesh looking to up the rate?
Moeen Ali drops the easiest of catches as Soumya Sarkar thumps the ball straight to him at square leg.
How can England justify leaving out Johnny Bairstow? They persist with (statistically) the worst opening partnership in current ODI form. Yet leave out THE in-form batsman who is also amongst the best fielders in the country and covers the keepers' position. Jason Roy is a lucky man.
Secondly, why is this tournament being played only for the benefit of fans in the south of England? When it was announced I looked to get tickets but no games are being staged further north than Edgbaston. Half the country is excluded from the action. Don't cricket fans in the north deserve a slice of the cake?
