    Beaumont 89, Sciver 77

New Zealand are on the ropes - bowlers' radars awry, fielders scrambling, runs coming with ease for Beaumont and Sciver. After going for four, three and a wide, Bates finally manages a dot ball. But England bring up the 200. The platform is well and truly set.

That is a great shot from Tammy. She has just shuffled down to Tahuhu which is brave but a good option because mid on is up.

  3. 6 runs

    Eng 191-3published at 37 overs

Sixer! Beaumont is really ticking now. She takes a couple of steps down the pitch and lifts Lea Tahuhu, one of the quickest bowlers in the world, with disdain over wide mid-on for six, her first of the innings. Four more singles off the over and England's grip is tightening.

  4. Eng 180-3published at 36 overs

    Partnership 129

It's powerplay time. And it's time for Beaumont to pick up the pace, driving Bates first past mid-off and then mid-on, rather more uppishly, for successive fours. Plenty of bottom hand in both those shots. Mid-on goes back, so Beaumont pushes a single to long-on. Smart cricket. Beaumont has 80 to her name and Sciver 67.

  6. Eng 169-3published at 35 overs

    Beaumont 70, Sciver 65

We have news from the treatment room: Sophie Devine, who trudged off the pitch moments ago, has a stiff back. Her powerful hitting may well be needed/missed when New Zealand begin their chase.

A good over from Lahuhu, who continues to target the stumps - full and straight. Four singles off it.

England have got themselves into an outstanding position. I am sure these two will be looking to let loose in the powerplay. This is the beauty of this England team. No-one panics. Brilliant stuff from England.

  10. dropped catch

Sciver dropped on 58published at 33.4 overs

Chance! But down it goes! Bates drifts down the leg side, Sciver shovels to short fine leg and Leigh Kasparek fails to cling on as she dives to her left. It went quickly but she made rather a hash of that - and Sciver collects four.

  11. Eng 156-3published at 33 overs

    Beaumont 65, Sciver 57

New Zealand need a breakthrough, so Lea Tahuhu, the Kiwi quick, is back on. Runs are coming fairly easily for the England pair now, though, Sciver driving square for a couple off the last ball of an over that brings five.

Devine is walking off like she is injured. That would be a big blow.

  13. Eng 150-3published at 32 overs

The field is spread, Nat Sciver has her eye in and now New Zealand's Sophie Devine departs with what looks like a shoulder problem after a seemingly innocuous run-out attempt.

  14. 50 runs

50 for Sciverpublished at 12:33 British Summer Time 12 July 2017

Skipper Suzie Bates brings herself back into the attack for New Zealand, but she can't stop Sciver bringing up her fifty - off only 55 balls - with a scampered three. Very, very handy innings.

The way England are going at the moment they could easily get 280 or 290.

    Beaumont 62, Sciver 47

Thanks Matt. And thanks Nat Sciver, who moves well outside off stump to ramp the medium-pacer over her shoulder for four to a very fine leg. Lovely stuff. A single takes her to 47 and allows Tammy Beaumont to whip one wide of mid-on for four. Ten off the over. England gathering speed.

  17. Eng 133-3published at 30 overs

    Beaumont 58, Sciver 42

And that takes us to the 30 over mark. Double the score from here?

Sciver and Beaumont have done an excellent rebuilding job.

Justin Goulding will take you through the next part of this game.

  18. Eng 133-3published at 29.4 overs

That's a pretty shocking delivery from Kasperek as she gets it all wrong and serves up a high full toss.

Sciver gives it the treatment and flat bats the ball for four through the leg side.

  19. Eng 125-3published at 29 overs

    Beaumont 57, Sciver 35

Tammy Beaumont is the classic modern cricketer. She plays an inventive paddle sweep/scoop off Huddleston to pick up two.

There have been plenty of sweeps and seven boundaries in this knock. Here's the moment she brought up her half-century.

I don't think Mitahli Raj gets the credit she deserves at times. She is a quality player. The big hitters gets the plaudits, but to average over 50 in ODI cricket is an outstanding achievement.
