India are 102-1 in the 30th over. Click here for the latest score.

Both of these players are using their feet well, coming forward and stepping back to knock the ball for singles off Kasperek.

'Kasper' as she seems to be called by her team-mates took the wicket of Sarah Taylor earlier can she break this partnership?

Tight! England nearly do the job for her by taking a risky single. Sciver dives to make her ground but a direct hit and that would have been curtains.

Back to seam bowling after a period of leg-spin from both ends.

Good running from England. Holly Huddleston doesn't do much wrong but England still manage to take five from the over.

Nat Sciver also had a little bit of swing to deal with there as the New Zealander gets a yorker to tail in. I don't want to put the mockers on it but this has been an excellent partnership.

Tammy Beaumont has been given a run at the top of the order, and it's beginning to pay off. Coach Mark Robinson has backed her. He saw she should be on the international stage.

  6. 50 runs

    Eng 112-3published at 26 overs

    Beaumont 50, Sciver 29

Tammy Beaumont has seen wickets fall around her but is playing the anchor role well as she brings up her 50 with a single.

Beaumont has run well and found the rope when needed. She's hit seven fours in this 50 from 58 balls.

  7. Eng 107-3published at 25 overs

    Beaumont 49, Sciver 27

England halfway through and these two are going well.

50 partnership up and they're both playing with a decent strike rate on a tricky wicket.

  8. Eng 104-3published at 24.1 overs

Nice. Beaumont shows some aggression to the 16-year-old Kerr. She whacks a full toss back over the bowler's head. It bounces once before the rope and thuds into the advertising boards. That brings up the 50 partnership.

  9. Eng 100-3published at 24 overs

There's a decent crowd at the County Ground in Derby and they're politely clapping every run scored by the England batters.

For now England are being forced to run hard to keep the total ticking. Erin Bermingham bowls another good over.

Amelia Kerr is the first player to play an ICC event who was born this millennium.

  12. Eng 95-3published at 23 overs

    Beaumont 39, Sciver 25

Sixteen-year-old leg-spinner Amelia Kerr is happy to toss the ball up against these two powerful England batters.

She is doing a pretty good job. Just the one boundary conceded so far and England can only manage three singles off her latest over.

New Zealand are flying through these middle overs with the leggies on.

Anything over 225 will be a pretty hard chase.

I don't think it will be very easy chasing on this pitch.

  15. Eng 93-3published at 22 overs

Nat Sciver survives a big appeal for leg before wicket as Erin Bermingham gets the ball to spin into her pads.

Replays show the ball may have pitched just outside leg stump.

That's good news for England. Sciver has hit three fours already, this one perhaps the best.

What England are doing so well is manoeuvring the field. Teams are not learning about England - you need a short fine-leg because that's where they score their runs.

  17. Eng 91-3published at 21 overs

This partnership is now worth 37, the highest of the match so far.

It is just what England needed. Sciver and Beaumont have been inventive to keep the run-rate up and have looked relatively comfortable.

This is the fourth time England and New Zealand have met in the World Cup. England have won all four matches, including the final in 2009.

  19. Eng 88-3published at 20.2 overs

Nat Sciver is definitely looking to be the aggressor in this partnership after a slow start.

She steps down and hits Amelia Kerr on the full for four through mid-wicket.

"Great bowling," says Priest behind the stumps. I'm not sure about that.

  20. Eng 84-3published at 20 overs

    Beaumont 36, Sciver 17

More leg-spin as we see Erin Bermingham for the first time.

New Zealand have so many options with the ball. We've seen off-spin, plenty of seamers and now two leggies in the attack.

For now Tammy Beaumont has the match of all of them as she sweeps Bermingham for four.
