That is a big wicket. Now England need to turn the screw and wrap this up.

  2. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 26.5 overs

    Dottin lbw b Knight 7 (WI 73-4)

Dottin had struck one searing sweep which raced over the ropes almost before the fielders had seen it. but in attempting another she made no contact and was trapped in front. No review left but it wouldn't have saved her in any case, all three boxes ticked.

  3. WI 69-3published at 26 overs

Dottin is eyeing the big hit but cannot get one away in this over from Hartley and can only compile one single.

  4. WI 68-3published at 25 overs

    Target 221

Deandra Dottin's boots are inscribed with "World Boss". She has made one century in the tournament but it is still quite a boast. Two singles for her thus far.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 23.3 overs

    Matthews lbw b Hartley 29 (WI 64-3)

The one they choose to review is hitting middle stump. The West Indian use of the technology has not been too good today so far. A fine delivery from Hartley pitching in line and straightening. All three boxes ticked and umpire Wilson proudly confirms that he was right in the first place with his lbw decision.

  6. Umpire reviewpublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 15 July 2017

We've got a review now. Matthews has been given out lbw to Hartley and has asked to see it again. A big moment.

  7. WI 64-2published at 23 overs

It is a hard grind in here too Ebony, I have not had a cup of tea since the match started. Captain Knight brings herself into the attack and begins with a rather wayward over, Nation sweeping three runs down to fine-leg.

This is a hard, hard grind. It makes you realise how important the innings from Heather Knight was.

  9. WI 56-2published at 22 overs

    Target 221

A first boundary for nation, sweeping Hartley to the fine leg boundary, the fourth of the innings, in addition to that fabulous six from Matthews that seems a long time ago now.

  10. WI 51-2published at 21 overs

    Target 221

The England-South Africa Test series could learn a thing or two from this over-rate, Marsh completing a maiden over in the time it takes the South Africans to make a fielding change.

  11. Australia updatepublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 15 July 2017

At Taunton, Australia, who can still pip England as group winners, made 269 all out and in reply South Africa are 101-2 after 22 overs

  12. WI 51-1published at 20 overs

    Target 221

The ever-alert Taylor whips off the bails and the umpires ask to have a look at the stumping appeal but Nation's boot is rooted behind the line. They have rattled through those 20 overs and with England on top it is time for a drinks break. A tea would go nicely with the chocolate digestive I have kindly been handed.

  13. India updatepublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 15 July 2017

It's going India's way at Derby in the battle for the remaining semi-final place, New Zealand losing two wickets in the first five overs in reply to India's 265-7.

  14. WI 49-2published at 19 overs

    Target 221

Two singles conceded by Marsh and her six overs have yielded 1-17. England were 82-2 at the same point in their innings.

  15. WI 47-2published at 18 overs

The slow left-arm of Alex Hartley in her dark blue shades. She begins with a maiden and beats Matthews. Not sure if that was a stumping chance but the usually immaculate Taylor cannot gather the ball cleanly in any case.

  16. WI 47-2published at 17 overs

    Target 221

There are a few youngsters in the crowd but the best views are those in the three large blocks of flats at one end. All of them have balconies and you can see the entire playing area from there. Most of the balconies seem unoccupied today though, with the weather less than inviting. Singles for each batter in the Marsh over.

  17. WI 45-2published at 16 overs

    Target 221

Chedean Nation gets off the mark with a single from her 10th ball faced. Hoping she might hit a six it and it could be a Seven Nation Army attack. Or perhaps not.

Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special

The fact it was West Indies' best player, I would have just reviewed that Taylor dismissal. There was enough doubt there.

  19. WI 43-2published at 15 overs

    Matthews 22, Nation 0

Not much pace for the Windies to work the ball with, Marsh around 49mph with her spin, Matthews a little fortunate to survive with a heave that flies to safety off the edge.

  20. WI 38-2published at 14 overs

    Target 221

West Indies coach Vasbert Drakes, who played 12 Tests and 34 ODIs for the Windies men's team, looks mystified by that lack of review. Steady stuff again from Gunn - gun-barrel straight if you like - and just the single conceded.
