  1. Aus 29-3published at 9 overs

    Perry 9, Villani 4

Goswami to bowl the final over of the opening powerplay, with the required rate already creeping up over seven-and-a-half. Perry waits for the tall seamer to stray with her line, as a full delivery on middle-and-leg is turned off her toes for four. But that's the only scoring stroke of the over.

Elyse Villani has batted four times in this World Cup - twice she's got out to her first ball.

  3. Aus 25-3published at 8 overs

    Target 282 from 42 overs

Elyse Villani replaces her Perth Scorchers team-mate Bolton at the crease - she's not had the greatest day, having been brought on to bowl her only over when Harmanpreet Kaur was in full cry. But she's up and running as she lofts her second delivery over the bowler's head for four.

The wheels are off here. She's hit it straight back at her and it's an easy catch to her right. That's disappointing for the Australians though.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 7.2 overs

    Bolton c & b Sharma 14 (Aus 21-3)

It's getting worse for Australia - off-spinner Deepti Sharma into the attack, and she induces a simple return catch from Bolton with only her second delivery.

  6. Watch: Lanning bowled for a duckpublished at 17:35 British Summer Time 20 July 2017

Here's one for Indian fans to savour - Jhulan Goswami bowls Meg Lanning for a duck.

  7. Aus 21-2published at 7 overs

    Target 282 from 42 overs

Bolton starts the over with a single again, Goswami has a slip in for the right-handed Perry who steals a single when she forces one which is half-stopped at point. The Aussie fans in the crowd are outnumbered by their Indian counterparts, but they're up and clapping as Bolton pulls a short delivery for four and then hustling a single to third man.

  8. Aus 14-2published at 6 overs

    Bolton 8, Perry 4

Perry's highest ODI score is 95 not out, made against South Africa in Canberra last year. She may need to surpass that today if Australia are to make the final, but she's off the mark, guiding Pandey for four through the leg side.

I can't stress enough - remember, this is a 42-over match, but Australia would need to complete the highest successful run chase in a women's ODI to make the final.

  9. Aus 9-2published at 5 overs

    Target 282 from 42 overs

Ellyse Perry in at four. If India can get her cheaply, I'd say they can make a start on sorting out their hotel rooms for Lord's...

I don't know how much her shoulder is affecting her. She hasn't scored in eight balls and the balls she had faced she's been dangling her bat and angling at them, not the full-blooded drives we are used to seeing.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 4.5 overs

    Lanning b Goswami 0 (Aus 9-2)

HUGE wicket! Meg Lanning, perhaps restricted by her shoulder injury, is only tentatively prodding at the tall Goswami who produces a perfect delivery to hit the top of the Aussie captain's off stump - and she departs without scoring.

I don't think Australia need to be too expansive. They need to keep themselves in the game. if they get people like Meg Lanning in, they can score.

  14. Aus 8-1published at 4 overs

    Target 282 from 42 overs

It's Bespectacled XI v Headband XI as Bolton faces Pandey but can't beat the infield. Just a single from the over. India, as they might well do after that innings, are lively in the field - minus Harmanpreet Kaur, who is off the field resting her calf and has a substitute on. Although as she usually sends down a few overs of off-spin, I wonder if India will miss that bowling option?

Here's that early wicket as Shikha Pandey removes Beth Mooney cheaply.

  16. Aus 7-1published at 3 overs

    Bolton 5, Lanning 0

Jhulan Goswami, playing in her fourth World Cup, is right on the money against Nicole Bolton, who remains a leading contender for an opening role in the Bespectacled XI. A single brings Lanning on strike, but the Aussie captain is watchful for now.

  18. Aus 6-1published at 2 overs

    Target 282 from 42 overs

The only bad news for India is that it brings Meg Lanning - dodgy shoulder and all, she's still acknowledged as the leading female cricketer in the world - to the crease. She rotates the strike immediately with a leg bye.

I'm not sure where she was trying to play that. It was a really bizarre shot selection in the end. That non-review didn't cost them anything in the end.

The crowd have liked this one! India are in an amazing position - runs on the board and an early wicket. Mooney played all around it.
