    We've had a huge amount of rain in the East Midlands over the last 24 hours. Puddles have accumulated around the outfield, and at the moment it's just a blanket of grey across the sky.

    Umpire Shaun George: "If the rain stops now, Neil the curator reckons it will take about two hours to make the ground playable. If we don't start today, it's a 50-over game tomorrow. If we do start today, for a 35-over game for instance, we will pick up tomorrow where we left off."

    Umpire Ahsan Raza: "We have two hours [before overs are lost], so the latest we can start is a 20-over game at 4.38pm."
