Glorious! Joe Clarke drives Mitch Claydon through the covers to bring up his second century of the match.

It's been an outstanding performance from the Shropshire-born 21-year-old.

And he's taking his side to a much-needed victory after a difficult few weeks.

  2. Hants must 'stay positive'published at 16:29 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

Lancashire beat Hampshire by an innings and 30 runs

Hampshire coach Craig White says his batsmen need to work on their technique against swing bowling following their innings defeat by Lancashire.

They were bowled out for 168 in their second innings at Old Trafford, as England's Jimmy Anderson claimed 4-20, giving him six wickets in the game.

"To fold again on a pretty good pitch is extremely disappointing," White told BBC Radio Solent.

"Anderson bowled beautifully, but the ball's allowed to swing and we should be able to combat that. It seems that if the ball does swing or seam we get in a bit of trouble. We need to work on that, improve on that, try and stay positive, and get back on the horse, so to speak."

  3. wicket

WICKET Rhodes (c Denly b Shah) 2published at 16:25 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

    Worcestershire 336 & 345-4 v Kent 260 & 474

Hmm, maybe this match isn't done and dusted. George Rhodes is out cheaply.

The 23-year-old slices Yasir Shah to Joe Denly at point and the spinner has two wickets in four balls.

Worcestershire only need 54, but there will be a few nerves now. Ben Cox comes in.

  4. Kohler-Cadmore making case for Yorkshire call-uppublished at 16:23 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

Yorkshire endured a torrid time this week being thrashed by an innings and 64 runs at Lord's against Middlesex.

Their batsmen have not have the best of seasons with Gary Ballance and Peter Hamscomb the only players in the top order averaging over 30.

Yorkshire signed Tom Kohler-Cadmore from Worcestershire earlier this month and he has gone past 150 for the second XI.

What chances of him making a debut next week?

  5. Durham racing to victorypublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

    Durham 402 & 63-0 v Glamorgan 295 & 263

Stephen Cook and Cameron Steel want this over in a hurry.

They've put on 63 at almost six an over, Cook leading the way with 35 off 34 balls.

94 more needed off 32 overs - a walk in the park.

  6. wicket

WICKET Mitchell (c Coles b Shah) 142published at 16:18 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

    Worcestershire 336 & 339-3 v Kent 260 & 474

Daryl Mitchell's sensational and probably match-winning innings comes to an end at the hands of Yasir Shah.

The former skipper pushes forward and edges it to Matt Coles.

He looks disappointed, but gets a standing ovation as he walks off. George Rhodes is the new man in with 60 needed for victory.

  7. Joe Clarke turns his season aroundpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

    Worcestershire 336 & 338-2 v Kent 260 & 474

Joe Clarke had only scored 218 in 11 innings before this match.

He already has 230 runs in one and a bit knocks here, and has pushed his average for the season towards 45.

Crazy how things can change in a couple of days.

  8. Resumption at New Roadpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

    Worcestershire 336 & 335-2 v Kent 260 & 474

The tea break hasn't made a difference.

Daryl Mitchell starts the evening session with back-to-back boundaries off Mitch Claydon and now has 140.

Worcestershire need 64 more in one of the most extraordinary run chases you will ever witness.

  9. Durham make fine startpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

    Durham 402 & 39-0 v Glamorgan 295 & 263

It's amazing how easy batting can become when you've got a small target.

Durham are rattling along at almost six an over as Stephen Cook finds the boundary for the third time off Marchant de Lange.

A first win of the season for Division Two's bottom side is 118 runs away.

    Durham 402 & 21-0 v Glamorgan 295 & 263

South Africa opener Stephen Cook has endured a bit of a torrid time in a Durham shirt this summer.

He's averaging just over 20 in 14 innings, with one half-century.

But he's away this time around with a couple of boundaries and Durham are off to a good start in pursuit of 157.

Cheers Matt. Sterling work this afternoon sir.

That was simply extraordinary from Worcestershire in the afternoon session.

They're going to chase 399 at a canter. Cricket is silly these days isn't it?

  14. Postpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

This also seems like the perfect time for me to hand back to Gary Smee who'll take you through to the conclusion of these matches.

That's my lot for this week's cricket action. It has been terrific. Thanks for joining.

  15. Teapublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

    Worcestershire 336 & 326-2 v Kent 260 & 474

And that's tea at New Road.

An excellent session for Worcestershire. Joe Clarke and Daryl Mitchell have added 162 runs without losing a wicket.

They head for a bite to eat knowing they'll only need 73 with eight wickets left when they go back out.

  16. dropped catch

Dropped catch as Durham start chasepublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

    Durham 402 6-0 v Glamorgan 295 & 263

Here come the Durham batsmen Stephen Cook and Cameron Steel. Can they chase down this 157 for their first victory of the season?

That'll settle the nerves. Cameron Steel hits a lovely shot off the back foot and takes three.

Dropped! What a let off. Nick Selman puts Cook down in the slips. Glamorgan need to take those!

151 to win from 42 overs.

  17. 82 to win for Worcestershirepublished at 15:39 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

    Worcestershire 336 & 319-2 v Kent 260 & 474

Three fours in a row now for Daryl Mitchell off Joe Denly.

When the latter hit 227 in the Kent second innings to leave Worcestershire needing 399 to win, I doubt he saw this coming.

What a chase! 82 to win off 33 overs.

I hope you all appreciated that gag as much as me.

Joe Clarke has been seeing it like a beach ball throughout the match and he's just launched Yasir Shah into the top tier of the Graeme Hick Pavilion to bring up the 300.

    He's on 83 from 95. Worcestershire's runs required is now under 100.

    94 to win.

  19. Pears on course in chasepublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

    Worcestershire 336 & 290-2 v Kent 260 & 474

And if Durham have a quick look at the score from New Road they'll know it is very much do-able.

Worcestershire are breezing through their chase of 399 and are currently 290-2, needing another 109 from 36 overs.

Daryl Mitchell has 110 and Joe Clarke 72. There's still plenty of time for it to go 'pear-shaped' though.

    See what I did there?

  20. Postpublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

    Durham 402 v Glamorgan 295 & 263

They have taken tea at Chester-le-Street after that final wicket.

Durham will need to bat well but you fancy they're favourites to get their first win of the season - their first win since their relegation and points deduction by the ECB.
