Durham are well placed for their first Championship win of the season with Glamorgan just 76 runs ahead at lunch with three wickets remaining.

Nightwatchman Lukas Carey has top-scored with 49 before Chris Rushworth removed his off-stump.

Barry McCarthy then claimed three cheap wickets with Aneurin Donald and David Lloyd out for ducks, followed by Graham Wagg for 5.

Colin Ingram on 30 is Glamorgan's last hope, and he was dropped at cover off Rushworth just before lunch.

Yasir Shah traps the England all-rounder lbw for a fine 63 off just 55 balls.

It's given Worcestershire a chance, but they could have done with him slapping another 100 on top of that.

Durham claimed two wickets in the first 80 minutes as they faced a Glamorgan side apparently determined to try to bat out the final day at the Riverside.

Andrew Salter, promoted to number three, fell to his first aggressive shot of the day as he mis-hooked Matty Potts to mid-wicket on 26, giving the teenager his third wicket.

Nightwatchman Lukas Carey survived a few dubious wafts outside off-stump but started to middle a few, hitting Barry McCarthy for six over mid-wicket to take the lead past 50.

With Colin Ingram joining him, the run-rate began to rise but Carey was comprehensively bowled by Chris Rushworth on 49.
