We've had a remarkable run chase at The Oval, where Joe Denly broke all sorts of county records to get Kent to victory over Surrey.

Leicestershire's Clint McKay became the first bowler to take five wickets in an innings in this season's T20 Blast in the Foxes' win over Worcestershire.

Northants beat Birmingham Bears with a boundary off the final ball, Hampshire eased to victory over Middlesex, and there was also a damp end to the Roses match between Lancashire and Yorkshire.

That ended as a tie on DLS, when it was set up for a tense conclusion before the rain came.

Hampshire 189-8 (20 overs) v Middlesex 160-7 (20 overs)

New Zealand seamer Tim Southee has his half-century, striking 16 off the final over to finish on 64 not out from just 32 balls, but he can't save the game.

His partner John Simpson also batted well, but Middlesex lost the game early on, with Michael Carberry and Mason Crane the star men for table-toppers Hampshire.

It's a comfortable 29-run triumph.

Birmingham Bears 156-4 (20 overs) v Northants 160-5 (20 overs)

Northants' last visit to Edgbaston in T20 cricket ended with them lifting the T20 Blast trophy last season.

They've won again on their return to the ground tonight, chasing 157 to beat Birmingham Bears by five wickets.

It was a tense finish though - Northants needed one run off the final ball to win, and Rob Keogh hit it for four through extra cover.

Talk about an anti-climax, as we enter the final over at the Rose Bowl.

Tim Southee won't be thinking that way, he has a potential six balls to make a half-century. He's currently on 48 runs.

Hampshire have shown why they're top of the South Group, as they near their third win from three in the competition.

John Simpson and Tim Southee are battling on admirably for Middlesex, but Mason Crane's wickets and the economy of Hampshire's entire bowling line-up has put the match beyond them.

Unsurprisingly, the weather has beaten the teams at Old Trafford and the Roses match has been abandoned.

So it's a tie via the DLS method, given Yorkshire were level with the par score when the teams left the field.

One point each.

Northants have lost Josh Cobb two runs short of a half-century, caught at long-off by Colin de Grandhomme off the bowling of Oliver Hannon-Dalby.

BBC WM's Mike Taylor jokes that it's the longest wicket entry in Bears history!

Northants need 14 runs off the final two overs.

John Simpson (30*) and Tim Southee (16*) have got a mini eighth-wicket partnership going, but it's too little too late for Middlesex in reality.

They got 14 runs from the latest over, but they're going to need to find superhuman mode if they're to get close.

At the 15-over point they're 99-7, needing another 91 runs from 30 balls to somehow topple Hampshire.

The defending T20 Blast champions are on course for victory at Edgbaston.

Four boundaries off the 16th over bowled by Grant Elliott, and Northants are 24 runs short of victory with four overs remaining against Birmingham Bears.

Middlesex are toiling on 74-7 after 13 overs as they hunt down 190 against Hampshire, who had Michael Carberry (77) to thank for their total of 189-8.

Dawid Malan, Brendon McCullum and Eoin Morgan have all been and gone, with Mason Crane (3-15) leading the Hampshire charge with the ball.

Josh Cobb (34*) is holding Northants together as they chase 157 to beat Birmingham Bears. At the 14-over point, they're 106-3.

What a finish! Kent have won it with a no-ball over head height!

Joe Denly ends 116 not out - a personal best and also a best for Kent in T20 cricket - as they successfully chase 206 to win at The Oval.

Two defeats on successive nights for Surrey.

Joe Denly gets rid of any Kent nerves with a four off the first ball of the final over, which is being bowled by Ravi Rampaul.

A single off the next. Two runs needed from four balls for victory.

There's still some life in the game at The Oval.

Centurion Joe Denly hits a four straight back past Surrey bowler Tom Curran, but Kent end the 19th over on 199-2 and they need seven runs off the final over for victory.
