Rain stops playpublished at 8.1 overs

    Yorkshire 64-2 (target 177)

Umpires Martin Saggers and Rob Bailey are taking the players off.

What's the DLS situation? It's tied. Wow.

  2. 6 runs

    Yorkshire 63-2 (target 177)published at 8 overs

What a piece of fielding from Liam Livingstone, tagging the ball back in mid air while over the boundary edge to prevent David Willey scoring a four off Junaid Khan.

So Willey makes sure there won't be a repeat by clubbing a six over mid-wicket. Yorkshire are now one run in front.

It's amazing that the players are still out there.

  3. Yorkshire 51-2 (target 177)published at 7 overs

Spinner Stephen Parry races through the seventh over and concedes only four runs.

Yorkshire are five runs behind on DLS - given the filthy weather at Old Trafford, we'll warn you that this may become a theme in most of these text entries.

  4. Dangerous Denly unleashes for Kentpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 14 July 2017

If you thought Surrey's 205-5 was impressive, Joe Denly is on another level right now. He's hit five sixes on his way to 85 runs from 44 balls, meaning Kent are 139-0 after 13 overs and look favourites right now, with Daniel Bell-Drummond also reaching 50.

Northants have lost their first wicket as they chase 157 to beat Birmingham Bears. Ben Duckett has fallen and his side are 43-1 into the fifth over.

It's not been a great start for Middlesex, who are 22-2 against Hampshire after three overs. They need another 167 runs for victory.

  5. Yorkshire 47-2 (target 177)published at 6 overs

End of the powerplay and Yorkshire are two runs behind on DLS.

    And it's raining. A lot.

  6. wicket

WICKET Lyth (c Lilley b McLaren) 20published at 5.4 overs

    Yorkshire 44-2 (target 177)

Love changes everything, sang Michael Ball, and so does a wicket when it comes to the Duckworth-Lewis method.

Yorkshire were ahead, but Adam Lyth has skied one to Arron Lilley at cover and that means the visitors need have to 50 on the board by the end of the sixth over.

  7. Yorkshire 41-1 (target 177)published at 5 overs

Adam Lyth has come to the party! There boundaries in Tom Bailey's over for the former England Test opener.

And that's big. Why? Because we've had five overs of Yorkshire's reply, and so we will have a result tonight.

It's raining steadily now, and that profitable over has put Yorkshire ahead on DLS.

  8. 'Those first six overs are crucial'published at 4 overs

    Lancashire 23-1

    Kate Cross
England bowler on BBC Radio 5 Live sports extra

Lancashire have bowled really well - the first six overs are really crucial now in these 20-over games.

If they can carry on, they know they'll put some real pressure on Yorkshire.

  9. Yorkshire 23-1 (target 177)published at 4 overs

Junaid Khan into the attack for Lancashire. His last outing was in a Champions Trophy final victory for Pakistan last month.

A decent first over is blemished by a leg-side delivery which David Willey deflects away for a boundary.

There are a few umbrellas up in the crowd. Surely there's not a threat of rain in Manchester?!

  10. wicket

    WICKET Kohler-Cadmore (b McLaren) 12published at 2.4 overs

    Yorkshire 14-1 (target 177)

Full and straight does the job for Ryan McLaren!

Tom Kohler-Cadmore can't keep out the yorker and Yorkshire are a wicket down early, bringing David Willey to the crease.

  11. 6 runs

    Yorkshire 14-0 (target 177)published at 2.2 overs

Tom Kohler-Cadmore hits the first maximum of the Yorkshire innings, clobbering Ryan McLaren over long on for six.

  12. Yorkshire 7-0 (target 177)published at 2 overs

After starting with spin at one end, it's seamer Tom Bailey at the other for Lancashire.

The extra pace is to Tom Kohler-Cadmore's liking straight away - the recent signing from Worcestershire dances down the track and plonks Bailey through cover for four, but the rest are dot balls.

    Excellent start by the hosts.

  13. Carberry helps Hants set big totalpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 14 July 2017

Hampshire's Michael Carberry has just gone in the final over for 77 against Middlesex. They've made it to 189-8, with figures of 4-39 for Toby Roland-Jones keeping Middlesex in the game.

Aaron Thomason strikes two sixes in the final over as Birmingham Bears reach 156-4 against Northants on a slow pitch at Edgbaston. Ian Bell's 50 was a highlight, while both Tabraiz Shamsi and Graeme White took two wickets.

What an evening it is at The Oval - sunshine and runs galore as Kent are 60-0 chasing 206 to win against Surrey. Joe Denly (29 not out) and Daniel Bell-Drummond (28 not out) aren't hanging about.

  14. Yorkshire 3-0 (target 177)published at 1 over

Steven Croft is a pretty handy cricketer, and he's started with a pretty handy over. Just the three singles for Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Adam Lyth.

  15. Listen livepublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 14 July 2017

Yorkshire chasing 177 to beat Lancashire

Yorkshire openers Adam Lyth and Tom Kohler-Cadmore are on their way out to the middle at Old Trafford, as they aim to chase down a target of 177 to beat Lancashire.

The hosts are going to start with some spin - captain Steven Croft will bowl first up.

Leicestershire have already beaten Worcestershire, and remember you can listen to the other four ongoing T20 Blast matches via BBC local radio by clicking on the appropriate coverage option at the top of the page.

  16. South Africa finish stronglypublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 14 July 2017

South Africa 309-6 v England (close, day one)

England were playing in a Test match today, in case you hadn't noticed.

South Africa appeared to be in control at tea, with the score on 179-2 and with Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock both well set.

    Stuart Broad removed them both...

...but Vernon Philander and Chris Morris stopped the tourists' mini-collapse and South Africa finished on 309-6 at the end of day one at Trent Bridge.

There's plenty of analysis, reaction and video highlights on the BBC cricket page.

  17. 'It slowed up when the spinners came on'published at 20:22 British Summer Time 14 July 2017

    Lancashire 176-4 (20 overs)

    Quote Message

The pitch was very good early on but the boys said it slowed up a bit when the spinners came on. The atmosphere is unbelievable - it always is against Yorkshire, our biggest game of the year - so hopefully we can put on a performance in the field.

  18. 'Lancashire left a few runs out there'published at 20:20 British Summer Time 14 July 2017

    Lancashire 176-4 (20 overs)

    James Taylor
Ex-England batsman on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

I think Lancashire are probably at par, and I think with only four down they've probably left a few runs out there.

Both teams will be relatively happy - Lancashire will know they have a decent score on the board, but they'll need to bowl well to defend this.

  19. WATCH: Livingstone's audacious scooppublished at 20:19 British Summer Time 14 July 2017

    Lancashire 176-4 (20 overs)

Liam Livingstone gave the Lancashire innings real impetus at the start.

In case you missed it earlier, here's one of the highlights of his exciting knock of 34 off 24 balls - an improvised scoop shot for four.

  20. END OF INNINGS: Lancashire 176-4 (20 overs)published at 20 overs

A couple of boundaries from Ryan McLaren off Tim Bresnan in the final over, and that's that.

Considering Lancashire were 115-1 before Jos Buttler's dismissal at the end of the 12th over, Yorkshire will be happy they're not chasing a really formidable total.

They'll be out to chase 177 for victory in this Roses match in about 15 minutes.
