  1. wicket

WICKET Taylor (run out) 20published at 9.3 overs

    Notts 66-4

On no! Nobody likes to see that.

Brendan Taylor and Samit Patel get their calls in a muddle and Taylor is sent back after being stranded mid-pitch.

Johann Myburgh swoops on the ball in the infield and his underarm shy at the stumps hits.

Taylor was never in the frame...

  2. Notts Outlaws 62-3 (target 152)published at 9 overs

    Taylor 19, Patel 15

Another Roelof van der Merwe over rushes by without a boundary.

Tidy stuff with just five singles from it.

Trent Bridge is looking rather splendid as day turns into night...

  3. Notts Outlaws 57-3published at 8 overs

    Taylor 16, Patel 13

Spin from both ends now for Somerset with Max Waller into his second over.

Samit Patel again finds the rope with a smart square cut, great awareness there to find the gap.

Notts just ticking it along at this stage which could be valuable.

  4. Notts Outlaws 49-3 (target 152)published at 7 overs

    Taylor 14, Patel 7

Roelof van der Merwe's turn with the ball for Somerset.

Brendan Taylor and Samit Patel do a nice job of working the spinner around the infield for ones and twos.

Former Lancashire opener on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

The crowd know the game is in the balance at the moment. There's a bit of a silence.

    It's so, so tight.

    Taylor 11, Patel 5

OOOOH Nice!!! Lovely straight drive from Samit Patel gets him off the mark with a four from Lewis Gregory.

You could watch that shot all day long and not tire of it.

There's still a feisty atmosphere in the crowd and the man who is copping most of the hostility from the home section is Peter Trego. A chorus of boos everytime he touches the ball in the outfield.

Brendan Taylor also finds the rope with a nice pull behind square leg.

  7. wicket

WICKET Moores (c Van der Merwe b C Overton) 13published at 5 overs

    Notts 34-3

    Tom MooresImage source, Rex Features

Well, is this game going to take an unexpected direction?

Notts in a bit of bother now as Tom Moores is the third man to fall and Roelof van der Merwe takes a brilliant catch on the rope off Craig Overton.

No doubt whatsoever about that catch carrying!

  8. No more in-play clipspublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 24 August 2017

Unfortunately the technical gremlins are playing havoc this evening and it means we won't have any more live clips for you.

I'll do my best to paint the picture with sentences instead!

  9. Notts Outlaws 28-2published at 4 overs

    Moores 12, Taylor 1

Well, the atmosphere now at Trent Bridge is spicy!

Peter Trego may well up being a pantomime villain here in the East Midlands. There's sarcastic shouts of "HOWZHAT" from the crowd as the next few deliveries are sent down by Lewis Gregory.

  10. 'Trent Bridge is not happy'published at 20:17 British Summer Time 24 August 2017

    Notts 26-2 (3.2 overs)

    Jack Brooks
Yorkshire seam bowler on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

It's so difficult when they slow it down on replays.

How often do you see when the fielders are adament and it looks good to the naked eye, and then they slow it down and it doesn't look out.

Trent Bridge is bouncing now. They are not happy.

  11. wicket

WICKET Hales (c Trego b Gregory) 14published at 3.2 overs

    Notts 26-2

Stand-in captain Lewis Gregory's turn to take the ball for Somerset and he grabs the big wicket of Alex Hales.

After a long old wait though and several slow-mo replays for the catch taken at mid-off, Hales has to go.

For a second it looked like he'd survive on the basis the angles weren't completely clear, but Peter Trego is delighted to discover it's been given.

Notts Outlaws 26-1published at 2.5 overs

    Hales 14, Moores 11

Tom Moores in on the boundary action from seamer Paul van Meekeren's first ball.

Starts the over with a lovely drive for four and then follows it up with a massive smash into the deep mid-wicket boundary for a huge six!

Lovely striking from the young wicketkeeper.

  14. Notts Outlaws 16-1published at 2 overs

    Hales 14, Moores 1

    Here he goes!

Alex Hales likes this bowling from Craig Overton and he doesn't miss out on a couple of early boundary chances. Three fours in three balls for the England opener.

But, good comeback from Overton as he finishes with three dot balls from three big swipes by Hales.

  15. Notts Outlaws 4-1published at 1 over

    Hales 2, Moores 1

Max Waller puts Notts in a spin there with that first over.

Alex Hales now joined by Tom Moores in the middle, can Somerset make this a double early breakthrough?

  16. wicket

    WICKET Wessels (c C Overton b Waller) 1published at 0.3 overs

    Notts 2-1

What a start for Somerset as they bid to defend this score. Max Waller has Riki Wessels caught on the deep mid-wicket boundary by Craig Overton.

Huge early scalp for the visitors!

  19. 'Notts look favourites'published at 19:58 British Summer Time 24 August 2017

    Somerset 151-6 v Notts Outlaws

    Jack Brooks
Yorkshire seam bowler on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

"Sometimes you say, 'don't judge a score until both sides have batted on it', but Somerset just look 20 to 30 runs short.

"With Notts' superb batting line-up, you have to fancy them. But, it's a knock-out game and anything could happen so Somerset have to have that belief."
