  1. '200 is par'published at 19:53 British Summer Time 24 August 2017

    Somerset score 151-6

Jake Ball tells Sky Sports about his stunning catch:

"Alex Hales came up to me and said 'he's [Peter Trego] is very unlucky to be out there!

"Looking at the scores throughout the year it's 200 par. To keep them to 150, we're really happy with that.

"Hopefully our batters can chase them down."

  2. Somerset post 151-6published at 19:50 British Summer Time 24 August 2017

Van der Merwe 27, Overton 15

Well, Somerset will have something to defend, but is it enough?

They only hit four boundaries in the last eight overs - that says it all really.

Harry Gurney finishes the innings by conceding just five.

If Alex Hales tees off for Notts, this could be done and dusted pretty quickly.

  3. 'Great figures from Ball'published at 19:47 British Summer Time 24 August 2017

    Somerset 146-6 (19 overs)

    Stephen Moore
Former Lancashire opener on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

"That last shot slightly blights Jake Ball's over, but still tremendous figures from the England seamer.

"Depending on how this game pans out, that could be the match-winning spell."

Ball finished with 2-21 off his four overs.

  4. Somerset 146-6published at 19 overs

    Van der Merwe 25, C Overton 11

Roelof van der Merwe and Craig Overton are striking it well but can't find the boundary off Jake Ball.

Eventually Van Der Merwe skews it away for four and ends up on his backside.

Somerset are going to end up with a below-par score here. They'll need to bowl out of their skins to make Finals Day.

  5. Somerset 137-6published at 18 overs

    Van der Merwe 18, C Overton 9

Wow, that's an absolute stinker from Harry Gurney.

The seamer bowls a high full toss at Roelof van der Merwe which he skews high into the air and is caught by the wicketkeeper. But it's a blatant no ball.

Van der Merwe misses the free hit. Somerset need to go big in these final couple of overs.

  6. Somerset 125-6published at 17 overs

    Van der Merwe 11, C Overton 6

Somerset have to keep going for their shots. 140 or 150 is unlikely to be enough on this ground.

Paceman Jake Ball returns and keeps it tight. No boundaries.

  7. 'Poor execution'published at 19:33 British Summer Time 24 August 2017

    Somerset 118-6 (15.5 overs)

    Stephen Moore
Former Lancashire opener on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

"You have to feel Somerset are setting themselves up here rather than Notts taking the game away from them.

"There's been a series of poorly executed cricket shots from the batsmen."

  8. wicket

WICKET Leask (c Mullaney b Patel) 1published at 15.5 overs

    Somerset 118-6

Somerset are in real strife now.

Michael Leask dances down the track but can only swipe Samit Patel into the big mitts of Steven Mullaney at long on.

Craig Overton comes to the crease. He can hit a long ball.

  9. Somerset 115-5published at 15 overs

Van der Merwe 8, Leask 0

Michael Leask is the new man in for Somerset.

He averages 12.5 with the bat in T20 cricket. Somerset have a pretty long tail, so that wicket is even more of a concern.

  10. Postpublished at 19:29 British Summer Time 24 August 2017

    Somerset 114-5 (14.4 overs)

    Jack Brooks
Yorkshire seam bowler on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

"He tried to work it over the boundary there and didn't get enough on the ball.

"Stephen Davies and Peter Trego have given Somerset a platform, but after losing three quick wickets, it's hard to see where they'll go from here.

"They need to get up to 150-160 at least."

  11. wicket

WICKET Davies (c Hales b Christian) 59published at 14.4 overs

    Somerset 114-5

Oh no, what have you done Steve?!

Steven Davies steps across his stumps and flicks Dan Christian into the leg side, but straight into the hands of Alex Hales on the rope.

That could well be the game changer.

  12. Somerset 109-4published at 14 overs

Davies 59, Van der Merwe 2

It's all going on out there.

Steven Davies tries to go for a single, slips in the middle of the wicket, but just about makes his ground.

He finishes Samit Patel's over with a lovely reverse sweep for four. Davies is the key here.

  13. 'Notts needed those'published at 19:22 British Summer Time 24 August 2017

    Somerset 102-4 (13.1 overs)

Jake Ball catchImage source, Rex Features

"Hell of a catch from Jake Ball there in the previous over. Taken on the move with a bit of a dive.

"Notts needed that wicket of Peter Trego desperately. James Hildreth failing to get all his bat on the ball the following over and it's a leading edge right back to Samit Patel."

  14. wicket

    WICKET Hildreth (c & b Patel) 0published at 13.1 overs

    Somerset 102-4

James Hildreth is gone first ball. It's a huge blow for Somerset.

He tries to clip Samit Patel into the leg side, but gets a leading edge straight back to the spinner.

It's an easy chance and Patel gobbles it up. The visitors have lost two in two.

    Here they go.

    Somerset 88-2

    Stephen DaviesImage source, Rex Features

The Somerset opener moves to his half-century off 33 balls, the delivery after smashing Steven Mullaney for a big six into the leg side.

It's been a brilliant innings so far from the former Surrey man.

  17. Somerset 81-2published at 11 overs

    Davies 43, Trego 32

    Dan ChristianImage source, Rex Features

Dan Christian has bowled a super over there.

The Australian mixes up his lines and pace and concedes five from it with no boundaries.

    Notts needed that.

  18. Somerset 76-2published at 10 overs

    Davies 41, Trego 30

Oh, that's a horrendous misfield from Brendan Taylor.

Peter Trego cuts Steven Mullaney away and it goes right through the Zimbabwean.

Good over from the medium pacer mind - just six from it.

  19. 'Setting the foundation'published at 19:07 British Summer Time 24 August 2017

    Somerset 69-2 (9 overs)

    Stephen Moore
Former Lancashire opener on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

"There's a nice little partnership here for Somerset that's setting the foundation for them.

"You really feel that one of these two has to go deep in the innings to give them a great chance of going through to the Finals."

    Stephen DaviesImage source, Rex Features
  20. Somerset 69-2published at 9 overs

    Davies 40, Trego 25

That six from Peter Trego was 96 metres by the way.

Ish Sodhi fights back well for the rest of the over however, conceding a couple of singles and a two.

    Trego is ticking.
