James Anderson makes his way back to the wicket, to applause from the crowd.

Pat Cummins goes short again, but it's wider, and Anderson pushes at it, but he doesn't get bat on it.

Some new helmets have arrived for James Anderson. The first one he tries on is massive!

The physio is out. James Anderson dropped straight to his knees after being struck but he looks to be ok to carry on. He takes a long drink of water and has a chat with the physio. He's grinning, which is a good sign.

Cricketing pain, physical pain, psychological pain. The blows keep coming for England.

    Eng 211-9published at 68.3 overs

The crowd clap and cheer as Pat Cummins steams in - oh, and he's struck James Andesron with his first ball!

That looked nasty. Anderson turned his head away and the ball carried on rising, striking him on the side. All the Australians came rushing over. Mtich Marsh at slip raised his hands straight away at Cummins and ran in to check on Anderson.

Broad has walked - go for the review! It's probably out but England have two reviews and haven't used any of them. I find it strange.

There is negativity around the team, they are getting beat. But it doesn't seem as bad as four years ago, there are glimmers of light in the camp. The rookies have been good, it's the senior core who have been disappointed. Broad has had no effect with the ball.

Australia are one wicket away from regaining the Ashes. Out comes James Anderson with a huge arm guard on.

Call me Nostradamus. A two ball duck for Stuart Broad.

Broad plays a short ball from Pat Cummins so deep in his crease that he might as well be sat on the stumps, both feet off the ground, and he just fends at the ball. It goes off the glove and through to the keeper. Broad practises the shot as he stands at the crease.

It'll not be long now for Australia. I'm not sure I fancy Stuart Broad lasting long on this pitch.

Josh Hazlewood gets a standing ovation from the crowd as he makes his way down to the boundary.

That is Josh Hazlewood's sixth five-for in Test cricket - and his first against England.

Chris Bromiley: It’s not the fact we’ve lost the series that’s the worst part. It’s the fact that every match has been an embarrassing surrender. Wouldn’t mind it if the matches were close run results.

  13. Five-wicket haul for Hazlewoodpublished at 07:17 Greenwich Mean Time 18 December 2017

Josh Hazlewood raises the ball to an appreciative Waca crowd. He was superb in Adelaide and he's been just as good here.

He greets Stuart Broad to the crease with a full delivery and Broad, rather edgily, plonks some bat on it.

    Five for Josh Hazlewood!

It's a lovely ball, tailing in to Craig Overton's feet, and he tries to whip it over gully. Usman Khawaja sees it coming low towards him and he dives to take the offering. Australia swarm around Josh Hazlewood, who has a brilliant 5-44 to his name.

Shot! Four! that's a lovely bit of work from Craig Overton, pushing through the covers. He jogs so gingerly down the wicket as the ball races away, every step looking painful.

Oh, and again! Overton cracks a short ball away for a boundary.

Craig Overton plays a very similar shot and works the ball over David Warner, who jumps ridiculously high at leg gully in an attempt to snaffle a stunning catch. Great effort.

Pat Cummins continues his short ball barrage and gets a quiet word from Marais Erasmus in response, before Woakes sees out the over.

Dan Pritchett: Overton is a shining light for English bulldog spirit. Batting with a cracked rib facing 88mph bowling on a minefield. Hats off!
